Would stay here again, no downsides. Best of all, they're dog-friendly (no extra costs involved - unlike some places). Good pizza and spag carbonara at Italian restaurant attached to hotel. more

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago. On price, it cant be beaten. Its in a great location if you are travelling around. There is a friendly local pub only two minutes walk away and the bar stays open until you leave, what more could you ask for? The rooms arent huge but they are immaculate and the service... more

After reading the earlier reviews, we stayed here for just one night whilst on a round trip to Blackpool. We weren't disappointed. Very convenient for the M62 but fairly quiet . Service was first class, the room was immaculate and we had a nice meal in the neighbouring Italian Restaurant, which was busy - usually a good sign. The English... more

Good value for money at around £70 per night with breakfast (but deals to be had). Warm reception and public rooms modern and functional. Pleasant bar area. Room was quiet, clean and a reasonable size. Meals can be taken in an Italian Restaurant on the same site, and room service also available from the same restaurant. Room service has extensive... more

This is a really nice hotel, ideally situated close to the M62 and in a good part of Huddersfield. Our first impressions as we arrive were good. The grounds are immaculate, lawns and shrubs neaty trimmed, handing baskets dotted around and not a spot of litter anywhere in the car park. Check in was quick and our room was fine,... more

I have stayed many times at this hotel as my employer is based in the town. I have had nothing at all to grumble about every time I have done so. It is a modest hotel – no leisure facilities or an evening meal – just good, clean and comfortable rooms. If you enjoy Italian cuisine then an excellent (but... more

A lovely little hotel which is great value for money. Has its own Italian restaurant which is very good quality albeit a little pricey. Restaurant will deliver food to your room if you want room service. Two pubs within 2 mins walking distance and an Indian restaurant opposite one of the pubs. Very nice L more

I stayed for a weekend night at the Briar Court. Got an unbelievable last minute rate of 30 quid B&B. This hotel is close to J24 of the M62 but far enough away to be quiet at night. There is an Italian Restaurant next door which was busy. I had room service from the Italian and it was OK, but... more

3 of us stayed here between Christmas & New Year. We normally booked the nearby Premier Travel Inn but on checking the prices, both were the same at £55 a night, but the Briar Court included full cooked breakfast. No argument there then. We arrived a bit early and were allowed to check in as the rooms were ready. The... more

A fine small hotel in the Yorkshire region. I stayed for two nights on business, and had a comfortable room. Breakfast was plentiful and included in the price. The only complaint I had was the internet charge; it was very high and calculated in a funny way -- I bought a two hour "block" of time, but the hour started... more
