This is possibly the worst place I have ever stayed. It all looks very splendid on the website, old grand country house, no mention that majority of the rooms are in an annexe at the back of the house and are on a par with a £40 a night travel lodge. We paid £220 for 2 nights B+B and I... more

We got married at Bagden Hall on 10th October 2009 and had an amazing day! The venue looked stunning when set up and the wedding breakfast was lovely. A few little things that did annoy us though, things which should have not happened. Myself, my mum and my bridesmaids arrived at 9am on the wedding morning to get ready, only... more

Spent Sat and Sun night to celebrate our anniversary. Looked very impressive on the website - but wish I had read the reviews before I went. The reception/restaurant/bars and I asume the suites they have are in a lovely part of the building, but the majority of rooms (where we stayed) are in a seperate building, and I think it... more

We had our wedding reception here as it looked like a lovely place and we thought it would be worth the extra money to get high quality service. It turns out we would'vt been better to stay at a Holiday inn! They were lazy, rude and unhelpful. They even gave us the wrong room, having given the honeymoon suit away... more

Stayed for 2 nights because Wedding reception was held there on a Sunday. Stayed in Lakeside room, you cant see the large pond. Only yards away from cowsheds in neighbouring farm, great if you like the smell of cowshit. Breakfast was only adequate. I would only stay here if you are attending a function. Good point 9 hole golf course... more

We stayed at Bagden Hall for one night, on a Monday, for a friends wedding reception. On arriving at Bagden Hall we checked in with no problems, however, we were staying in a room in a seperate building facing the golf course. We got to our room, which was average, but no more than we expected for paying £66.50 B&B... more

I stayed at Bagden Hall for two nights as my brother was holding his wedding reception there. A number of people in our party were disappointed with the rooms and our residential experience. I should say that the wedding reception was fine - the food was pretty good and the day went smoothly - no problems at all. However, the... more

We stayed here for a family wedding this weekend and had a good overall experience, with a few let downs.. The access is up a wooded drive and you enter to what appears to be a very impressive stately home style house. The views are good and the outside of the building is in a good state of repair. We... more

Although we have not stayed at Bagden Hall, we were planning on booking our wedding here.......until we saw the bridal suites! Cannot believe such a beautiful wedding venue and hotel has not bothered to update the dated decor and design of the bridal suites. Surely this is all part of the wedding experience and it really seems a terrible shame... more

This really could be a lovely hotel, set in spacious grounds and close to many places of interest. We were very disappointed with the bedroom, it was small, dark, shabby and not very clean. Bathroom was pretty awful with mildew growing along side the bath, the floor was very badly marked from water damage and unless you are less than... more
