Stayed here for a few nights visiting friends locally, have stayed here in the past and it wasn't great but this time was really good, the beds were a lot more comfortable this time round and the TV actually worked (they upgraded them). I had the dog with me which is good as many places don't allow them, it was... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Staff were wonderfully hospitable and were there to help with my every query. Room was extremely comfy, and I was pleased to discover the wide range of TV channels and free wifi, along with the microwave and fridge which I hadn't expected. The nearby Starbucks and petrol station were also a pleasant added bonus, being... More

Looks like there has been a fairly recent refurbishment. Hotel was clean, car park spaces and cheap. Microwave and fridge also in the room which would be decent for longer stays. Wouldn't take the family but good budget stopover. Pub, Starbucks and a Shell station with a minimart (scaled-down supermarket, fits inside a petrol station. Sells pies, anti-freeze etc). all... The staff were pleasant unlike the room. The television offered a choice of two channels with poor reception. The decor is not just tired it is totally exhausted . We had booked for 2 nights but cancelled the second. I feel sorry for the helpful pleasant staff who must be embarrassed by the premises

"Dilapidated Travelodge" Before you even contemplate any type of stay here, whether using as a base or a quick stop for forty winks and a shower, please read the reviews! The place looks like and effectively is, a dilapidated Travelodge and it shows. Tired, jaded and faceless decor which has not been updated at all since its previous proprietors left,... More

Good for a base in the Huddersfield area - about 5 miles outside - taxi cost £8 into centre - but you are paying a low price for your room. The rooms are functional, fairly clean and fresh towels every day. The three nuns pub across the road did all you can eat breakfast for £3.99 - which was excellent... More

An uttetly disgusting property and with a filfthy dirty room. I was shocked at the state of the room and the smell in the room of dirt and grime was bad .the settee and chair were so dirty and smelt awful.. The TV did not work at all.. The kettle had clearly never seen a cloth for wipe down. I... More

For a one night stay costing £33 this hotel provided my wife and I with all we needed. We were attending a concert at the Holmfirth picturedrome about 12 miles away and rather than drive home to Manchester I chose to have a beer or two so accomodation was required and this Hotel was the nearest and best value we... We used this hotel as a base to visit friends in the area and it did the job just fine. The price was excellent at £33 for the night. We had room 101, it was big, clean, warm and the bed was comfy. We asked for two extra pillows which were provided without any fuss. We will definitely use this... More

How could a hotel management run this place with a conscience. At the height of winter have no heating in the rooms. Surely needs reporting to standards. I would expect a full refund of my £33. I checked in at 2 am tired after work and had to check out at 5am and sleep in the car as it was... More
