This really was a hidden gem and much better than we anticipated. The hotel has a few little touches that make it really special. We liked: The rooms - huge and comfortable. The tea tray with a teapot and biscuits The quietness not woken once despite the hotel being busy Reception - warm and welcoming The bed very comfy and... more

The hotel is located only 2 minutes off the M62 and very easy to find. Corridors to the bedrooms are dated but, once inside, the bedrooms are comfortable and well furnished. Staff are well trained and pleasant and overall, the hotel compares favourably with Premier Inns which are in a similar price range. more

Stayed at this hotel on a two night business trip while in Huddersfield. Firstly it’s not a 4* hotel by any stretch of the imagination. Yes it has a pool and fitness facilities but that’s about it. Reception was fine and welcoming. The hotels décor is fixed in the 80’s. The rooms are very tired and devoid of amenities. There’s... more

Was away on business in Halifax, hotel is about a 15 minute drive from town centre. It's not the most attractive 4* hotel (appeared to be more 3*) but the hotel was quite nice, food was good, all the usual amenties. Staff were all friendly. Would definately stay there again on business, not so sure if it was a leisure... more

We went to Cedar Court for a Computer Convention (Yes we are Geeks and we don't care). I first rang the Hotel direct to get a room, but they said they where full, so, being a Hotel receptionist myself, and knowing how they work, I booked a room through Laterooms.com which was a bargin! Why they didn't sell me a... more

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago on business. I was a bit worried about staying here after reading the reviews, but was pleasantly relieved by what I found. I agree that the hotel is a little dated, but it's much better than I expected it to be and it's fair to say I have high standards! The gym... more

We a family of three stayed here for two night while visiting relations in the area.. While we found the Hotel to be average it was definately dated and no way a four star hotel. However the price for food and drink were four star price but were sadly disapointing. We also found the general manager to be extremely rude... more

The approach and architecture of the hotel would indicate a cold, formal and rather dowdy venue. This is a miss-conception. The staff are efficient, the rooms spacious, clean and well appointed. All the staff were charming and helpful. The reason for my stay was to attend a conference and the hotel catered for all our needs. The location is just... more
