My partner recently stayed there on the sleep and dine package, having stayed at the sister hotel the Royal Toby/fallen angel many times. We were very disappointed with it and have to say it seems very much the poor, tired relation compared to its sister hotel. We had quite a few issues with our stay, that consequently we have sent... I stayed for one night in this hotel. The staff are really helpful. The room was ok, the furniture was old. The hot water took 5 minutes running the tap before hot water was warm enough for a shower. There are no sandwiches in the evening from the bar. The breakfast was excellent, but i have to say everything was... More

My husband and I booked the new year package, which represented excellent value. Our room was adequate, clean and comfortable (apart from the little cobweb in the corner behind the bedside table!!). We enjoyed a superb evening and the buffet was excellent. We were in the Hill Top Restaurant and the young man who was the Manager handled everythng professionally... More

The menu choice for all meals was good but the buffet breakfast at the weekend was served on cold plates? Also, my partner had to send her evening meal back as it was only lukewarm and again served on a cold plate. Hotel management please invest in a plate warmer for goodness sake! Rooms are on the small side but... More

We have just been and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a romantic break. We got the deal through The Sun so paid nowhere near the regular room rate. The room was adequate, we were a little disappointed that we only had views of the car park and we would question whether the bed was a double as... More

The room was good quality for the price, and the food to a perfectly acceptable standard. A lovely location on the moors. Not a destination hotel, but much better than a cheap chain. Restaurant staff seemed a little bemused about what to do, but not disastrous.

Stayed there at the weekend. Excellent staff, excellent food, excellent room! Really lovely and staff very friendly and welcoming. Very secluded and scenic but found it easy to find off the m62. Evening meal with gorgeous views and ate breakfast to amazing views and horses running free in a field ver close. Really recommend it!!!!

I have just returned from a nights stay at the Pennine Manor hotel, a lovely cosy warm traditional hotel. We were there for a wedding and was served a wonderful 3 course meal for our wedding breakfast, a surprising but welcoming pie dinner for our evening buffet, and a really very good breakfast. The hotel has a fabulous well stocked... More
