What a good place to eat. The food is first class. Personally Recommended the Scotch Egg. Followed by the Salt and Pepper chicken, the service is also personal, and knowledgeable , A very nice comfortable bar, I believe after speaking to Nick, that the bar has just newly been refurbished, with a clean ,fresh and traditional style. Never left room... More

I arranged to hold the celebration of life lunch here following the service. About 75 guests were treated to an amazing hot and cold buffet with lovely deserts to follow. Everything was freshly made and tasted fab. Mandy and the staff were on the ball and couldn't do enough for us. The price was very competitive too. Will definitely be... More

We visited the hotel as a fill-in night between holidays. We chose the sleep and dine package. What good value. The evening meal was lovely and we were well attended. Breakfast was very nicely cooked and even the sausages were GF. It was nice to be able to eat a full cooked. The room was nice and the bed was... More

Business trip here - landscape is bleak. Everything about the hotel screams "need a make over" - from the net curtains to the continuous carpets, the buffet breakfast and the tiny TV and terrible internet connection. Only stayed out of necessity!

We stayed at the hotel over the August Bank Holiday for family wedding. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the food mostly was delicious-I think it depended on which Chef was on duty! There was one slight hiccup! One of our wedding party was seated on a chair that had a shard of glass embedded in it and... More

My daughter and son in aw held their wedding reception here and we stayed for two nights. The food was brilliant, rooms lovely and staff well organise but the location is outstanding with fantastic views and the horses in the next field really friendly! Would definitely go back well worth the money we paid
