Worst Hotel I have stayed in for 40 years. Filthy is not the word. I feel so grubby after this visit I feel I have to tell the world do not use this place. I cannot say anymore it is just disgusting. more

We stayed a while ago here and it was so appalling we wrote and complained to Head Office who promised changes would be made. Reading these most recent reviews it seems that has not happened. My OH and I stayed there with my elderly parents for a couple of nights. On arrival the receptionist was particularly unhelpful spending an extremely... more

Dear Dapper of Suburbia, my apologies for the experience you had at the hotel. I unfortunately do not have any record of your original complaint to our head office and as such I am not sure if they have responded to you or compensated you in any way. Please contact me directly at the hotel if this is the case...

This is hands down one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in. I will start with the postives the rooms are very big, the menu very varied and the staff are friendly even if there are only two of them. Oh and the location is tremendous. The downsides: The hotel is not clean, in fact its really not... more

A grubby hotel that is in real need of good clean! The lift should be in a theme park and the staff are in need of some serious re-training. Breakfast was cold, the tables were dirty and I must have tried 4 plates before finding a clean one. The breakfast staff were incredibly rude and after complaining to reception ended... more

Dear Dolittletoon, I was very disappointed to read your comments about the hotel. As all comments are anonymous I am unable to tell when you stayed or who you are but I can assure you that the overall standard of cleanliness in the hotel has improved drastically over the last month due to an intensive and exhaustive regime of deep...

We arrived and checked in, wish we hadnt. Went to the room, it was dirty, the curtains looked like they had been dipped in a dirty puddle. The whole decor is dated and dirty. Went to open the window to let some fresh air in and to get rid of the condensation and the handle came off in my hand.... more

Dear Parkytoon, I can tell that you have not enjoyed any aspect of your stay and I am writing not only to apologise but to reassure you that since starting at the hotel recently as General Manager I have also identified problems with the standard of cleanliness around the hotel and issues with the training and standards of customer service....

I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. When I first arrived I was impressed, service was very friendly and communal areas quiet impressive. When I got to my first room, the decoration was quiet nice but it smelt of stale smoke, I checked the bathroom and it couldn't have got any more pokier. The manager addressed the smell... more

Central location very convenient but not at all peaceful. Although it was February the room was unbearably hot. Needed to keep the window open and were disturbed all night by buses, taxis and drunks. more

This is our third stay in this hotel and unfortunately now our last. This time was a total let down. It is substantially overpriced for what you get. The whole of the hotel needs a refurbishment and certainally a proper clean. The upholstery and carpets were what you could only describe as minging ! The breakfast was poor as in... more
