Booked because we wanted a restful sleep before an early morning departure from Luton. Food ok in bar, although restaurant could have done with some cleaning (dried on food on condiment pots). Mattress attrocious, the most uncomfortable night we have spend. (Springs protuding through material causing markings on my partners back) Very noisy from other guests and walls so thin... More

We stayed for one night to catch an early flight. Meal and beer OK but the room had a small window looking out onto a roof. Toilet and shower together were smaller than a caravan . The room was ugly, small and the beds awful. Worst of all was the smell of Sewage . We tried to change room but there... More

This ir real English countryside hotel. One evening and night here was excellent finish before to go home after Madeira's trip. Yes, bathroom is tiny, and room is small. But our family likes a nature and walking around we saw the partridges and pheasants. I got some pictures, even through a room's window - pheasants females walked 4-5 meters from... More

I wish I had read the reviews before staying here!! We stayed for only one night as we were due to fly to Paris the next morning, so I thought we'd just have to put up with it. I slept fully dressed as the bed looked dirty, the mattress felt like I slept on rocks and pillows wafer thin. You... More

Very nice pub. Landlord was very hospitable. Coffee maker in room with cereal and rolls for morning. Small room but clean. Ok for 1 night stay.

Stayed here before a flight out from Luton airport to a football tour with 4 guys. We have stayed in some pretty grotty hostels abroad, so our tolerances are high and expectations low. Firstly it is really hard to find, particularly in the dark so do not rely on sat nav - it took us miles away. It is set... More

I used this "hotel" for a nights stay, so I can't complain as much as other guests have, although I feel I would be had I stayed 1 extra night or more....... First off, calling the King William a hotel is very generous, as really it is a country pub with a few rooms above it. Even though I used... More

OMG. Don't go there! I can't believe they're allowed to trade under the name of 'hotel'. After ten minutes of hysterical laughter when we saw the place and smelt the overpowering stench of feet, we looked at the toilet and dilapidation, and decided that though we'd paid, there was no way we could stay. We would never get any sleep!... More
