Had a lovely stay here recently and the reviews are a good reflection of the quality of this b + b. Alison made me very welcome with a cup of tea and slice of lemon cake and offered me dinner for a very reasonable sum - beef casserole and a glass of rioja - very tasty. My room was comfortable... We enjoyed our stay very much. What a great host Alison is. The food and accommodation are excellent. She looked after us very well. Always giving that bit extra. Calling taxi's, ironing shirts, another cup of tea? Hope to be back soon to stay again and to watch another "Midsummer Murder" with Alison.

In July, my husband, our toddler, my parents and I decided to stay in Luton between our flights and I came across Bakewell House. There's a reason why Bakewell House is so well-reviewed and beyond the scrumptious breakfasts and cosy rooms is Alison herself. Such a warm, hospitable and friendly lady who was always helpful and a pleasure to speak... More

I am a lone female who needed somewhere regular to stay whilst on a course at the university. Booked once due to reviews on tripadvisor and have now booked regularly for each trip to Luton. I agree with all of the reviews; Alison is a great host and has really looked after me when I've stayed. Breakfasts are fantastic, as... More
