1st room booked into the bathroom was filthy and the bath covered in scum from previous clients. Complained and moved to another room. Bathroom disgusting again! All grouting = dark brown. Again scum on bath, but fed up by then. Had a shower but both tap and shower came on together. Couldn't stop the bath water running however hard I... more

I stayed at this hotel travelling on transit from Luton Airport. I was greated by a receptionist who professionally booked us into a twin room. The room had all facilities as expected, it was finished with a nice a flat screen tv. We had dinner in the Restaurant which was very well presented and of good portion size. The service... more

We have just come back from a two night stay at the Chiltern Hotel and absolutely loved it. We only paid £59 a night which was an incredible price for such a nice hotel. We had a twin room which was very clean and perfect for us. We didnt use room service at all so i couldnt comment on that,... more

My stay at this hotel was so terrible that I resolved to post my first Trip Advisor review the moment I got home from my holiday. I booked a park and stay package and can only say please take my advice and don't bother. Do NOT be fooled by the hotel website. The staff will freely admit that this is... more

I stayed at the hotel a couple of years back and to be honest it was a little bit dated, but the rate was good for what I wanted it for. I was expecting the same when I recently booked in again..and what a surprise. It now looks completely different and is colourful and welcoming. The whole of the ground... more

I stayed here on arrival and departure from Luton Airport and I found it fine. So they asked for ID at reception when booking in, to me this is normal as I live in Spain,BUT........ this upset the gentleman in front of me to a point to where even I was going to clock him one, but the receptionist kept... more

We stayed at the Chiltern as walk ins after our arrival in the UK. I was a student in Luton for 2 years and we stopped at the first place we found. As an American, I knew not to expect huge rooms, but was surprised that a family of 4 had to rent 2 rooms to accomodate us, rather than... more

Obnoxious and dim staff who are completely clueless and obstructive. Small, tatty, hot rooms that are seemingly infrequently cleaned...had to ask for sheets to be changed due to having more hair on the sheets than a barber's floor. Slow service in the bar and poor food. Plasma screen was fine but there was no sound for the football but the... more

Could be a nice hotel. Staff are quite friendly but rooms need updating and air conditioning would be beneficial. The front of the hotel is south facing and the rooms are sweltering even through the night. The night time traffic noise was also bad with the window open. Breakfast was fine. more
