The Pines is a lovely Hotel that I would recommend to anyone.The staff were friendly and polite .Our evening meal was superb and the cooked breakfast was too.Our room was clean and warm and we would stay there again for sure. more

The room was very small, and although it stated there was a hairdryer....there wasn't. However the staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived after the kitchen had closed, but they went and made us up some sandwiches, which were really nice, and huge (good value). We stayed at the Pines Hotel in February 2007. The room was clean but extremely small and there was a constant greasy cooking smell in the room. this hotel advertises a smart dining room and bar and so we booked to find they never open their dining room to guests on a saturday night nor did their bar have any food. there is a large sign outside advertising both to cap the point,fundamentally our reservation was taken under false pretences. we tried to find the manager but... more
