A very warm welcome with tea, coffee and biscuits. A comfortable farmhouse bedroom with en suite bathroom (with shower) that suited us well. Evening meals were arranged when booking and were excellent. Wednesday evenings are cooks night off, so up to the local pub for some good food there. Exmoor provides an ever changing landscape and the lanes to test... More

The accommodation was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The location must rate as one of the most beautiful in England. The service we received was excellent and we felt welcome, as nothing appeared to be too much trouble. We've already booked to come back again. This is a great place to chill out and a good centre from which to... More

There's always a warm welcome from Rachael and Julian, and the combination of homely comforts, fine food using home produce and the stunning Exmoor landscape on a delightful family farm is a winner every time. Thoroughly recommended if you're looking to get away from the bustle of everyday life.

We came across North Wheddon Farm in 2005 when I was looking for a local B&B while on a course nearby. Both of us had a fabulous time, husband walking all day in the beautiful countryside and enjoying the home cooked food of an evening. Second time around we came with our 3 month old and family (inc dog!) and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
North Wheddon Farm is an ideal base to access the Exmoor and Devon area with it's fantastic beaches and stunning scenery just minutes way. We offer superb bed and breakfast accommodation within the farmhouse. In the grounds of the farm we have two self-catering properties, the Farthingwood Barn and the Eden Lodge. Here at North Wheddon we love to cook and are proud of our reputation. Food is very much 'River Cottage' style. If we can not grow it or raise it here on the farm, you can be sure it is locally sourced and the very best of quality. From home smoked bacon to our own Aga baked breads you won't go hungry. ... more   less
