We have just returned from a 6 night stay at the Channel House and were very impressed. It is just 3 minutes walk from the seafront and ten minutes from the steam railway station. The view and gardens are very good. The hotel decorations are in good order and it is all spotlessly clean. We liked our room a lot... More

We have stayed at many hotels all over the uk but this is the best yet! The rooms and bathrooms are large and in pristine condition with tasteful décor and wonderful views. There is a wide variety of choice for breakfast which is beautifully presented, the location of the hotel is perfect too only a few minutes stroll in to... More

Having travelled extensively all over the UK I can honestly say that Channel House is one of the very best small hotels I have stayed at. Found by chance for one night after a whiz around Wales the dinner (at short notice) was outstanding, the high quality overall decor was very tasteful, the room was superbly appointed ,immaculate and very well... We have just returned from a long week-end, one of many trips to our favourite hotel. The personal service we receive from Debra and Andy is only one of the reasons we keep returning. All the rooms are immaculate both public and guest. The food is amazing, and Debra keeps a record of guests like and dislikes, that's personal service... More

Just back from our second visit this year and as always the welcome you receive from Debra and Andy is more like a friend than a guest. Food excellent and beautifully presented. The choice of breakfast was wonderful. The bedrooms are spotless and plenty of room in the bathroom. We are returning next year.

My sister, mother and I have just returned from a four-night stay at the Channel House Hotel. It’s situated on a hill overlooking the beach and bay, with peaceful, well-tended gardens which, for most of the time, were completely sheltered from winds. The hotel itself is immaculate, spotless and well-furnished. The bedrooms (we had numbers 3 and 7) are large... More

We had a short, 3 night stay, our second visit. The whole place is very well kept, the rooms are a good size, clean and comfotable. The main event is the evening meal. This is always to a most excellent standard and the main reason we came back. The hotel is situated high on the cliff top giving excellent views... More

We recently stayed 5 nights in room 2 which was spacious ,light and airey and decorated to a high standard . There was a seating area next to the large window overlooking the garden where we could enjoy a cuppa when we returned after a day out. The bathroom was also nice and large . The excellent breakfast was prepared... More

As a group of walkers (mid 50s to late 70s)of 14 we filled the hotel. It felt like a house party! Breakfasts and evening meals prepared by Debra were very good; Andy looked after us in terms of luggage, advice about the area, bar services and other aspects of a hotel stay. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very well... More
