Booked late minute knowing the location suited me. Couldn't have been better. I wanted a two night break for a comfortable retreat. The friendly greeting of the owners, the quality of the room, and the breakfast were well appreciated. Easy parking (if required). A couple of minutes from the town centre, bus stops and West Somerset Railway. (Steam)

Edwardian building full of character with everything like a new pin. Rooms are clean, neat and up to date with all the conveniences and comforts. Friendly, helpful hosts eager to help and cater for their guests and the breakfasts are everything you could want. The house is on a quiet one way street with minimum traffic even though it lies... My husband and I recently spent 3 nights in mid- June, 2014 at the Glendower House Hotel/B&B. The location of this hotel is perfect. It is only a few minutes walk to the West Somerset Railway station and the beach. We had a room on the ground floor and found it to be very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Our room... More

We spent two nights in mid-June, 2014. Lovely gardens around back with a massive rose archway greeted us shortly after Peter's warm welcome to his and his wife's well-run establishment. Our room was clean and quiet with an extra bed which could have been nice if we had a child (and was not disclosed when we booked the room on... More

With no kids for the weekend, Gorgeous Girlfriend and I had a short break in Minehead. the Glendower proved to be a sublime find. A warm welcome, a spacious, light and bright room, quality toiletries in the en suite, and a tasty choice for breakfast. The guest house is a short distance from the main shopping street and the seafront.... More

We stayed for 2 nights over the May bank holiday for some great walking and sight seeing. We couldn't fault Glendower house at all. The welcome was nice and the room big enough for us with an excellent shower. It is located about 5 minutes walk from the sea front with all of the usual restaurants and bars. The breakfast... More

We booked a 2 day break after reading reviews on trip advisor, I must say the glendower did not let us down, we were greeted by Peter and after filling in registration form we were shown to our room, number 9. The room was very pleasantly decorated, the bed very comfy, tea and coffee ample supplies, 2 bottles of water,... More

Stayed at this B&B last week for a few days whilst working in the area. Very friendly and attentive service. All facilities were in place. Breakfast was very good - eggs cooked just right. Peter remembered my order, and had also remembered to check that my minicab was coming (booked the night before). Establishments run this well deserve to flourish.... More

Just stayed here with our friends for 3 nights and found it a lovely B&B. It is ideally positioned with comfortable rooms and good food. A very friendly and helpful owner it is difficult to find any faults and we shall certainly be back next year.
