The setting is just superb, surrounded by the Exmoor hills and the ponies from the stables graze in the adjacent field. A wide-in places shallow stream pleasantly babbles its way alongside the site and children don’t seem to miss the lack of a play area. Instead, they are happily playing with fishing nets or just splashing around in the water.... More

I have just got back from here and thought I would share my experience! I was with a family who have been coming to Burrowhayes for many years. It is a family run site in beautiful location tucked away in exmoor national park. The shower block is fantastic along with the actual site itself! Horse riding and horse feeding along... More

We first came to Burrowhayes 38 years ago and fell in love with it. We made a few more visits while the children were little, and it became a firm favourite with our extended family. This summer we came back as part of a huge family reunion, about 25 of us, three generations, some in tents and some in caravans,... More

We stayed at Burrowhayes Farm about 7 years running as children, and loved it. It's changed over the years, has electricity, running water, a loo and a shower in the static caravans now, and electricity for the touring caravans, but other than a few mod-cons, it has retained its charm and all the character and beauty of Exmoor. There is... More

Second time at Burrowhayes and again, not disappointed. Friendly staff, great location, good value for money, excellent shower/toilet facilities and lovely clean statics for those wanting that extra bit of comfort. Burrowhayes has set the bar high, so I am guessing it will be a hard act to follow.

Ideal camp site for family holiday. Very friendly and helpful staff, close to everything... beaches, entertainment, shops, walking areas. They do fresh bread every day, well worth it. Amenities are clean all day round, enough space for everyone. Thproughly recommended.

We came across this fantastic little campsite by luck as we hadn't pre booked a pitch. We were made very welcome and given a choice of available pitches for our small two man tent. £15 a night for the tent I thought was fantastic as the owners take great pride in their well kept facilities. Small shop on site too... More

I stayed here for a week with a group of friends and didn't want to leave! I hadn't been camping for about 15 years and was expecting the cold, muddy experience from my childhood. How wrong I was. The facilities were excellent; hot showers 24/7, with hair-dryers to boot! A fully equipped shop with everything you could need. Multiple water... More

We've been camping at Burrowhayes for a number of years now & look forward to our visit at Whitsun every year. It's such a lovely friendly atmosphere & a great chance to catch up with friends we've made in previous years. Our daughter's still love to go every year& look forward to the first tip of the year. We stayed on this lovely site for a couple of nights as we wanted to try out a new folding camper without going far from home. Our telephone call to see if they had a pitch was very helpful and with a very nice friendly manner. The site was quite busy but not at all noisy and we had a... More
