We stayed here in the wet summer just gone, and had a lovely few days on our way down the south west. This place is a little hard to find and not in the town at all, but in a wonderful setting. We arrived too early to be checked in, so stayed in the hostel to avoid the rain...with a... More

Stayed in this hostel at start of holiday- beautiful hostel in a lovely rural setting. Breakfast was great and Andrew the warden does a fab bbq! He really is helpful and will tell you all the best places to go visit and eat. This place was spotlessly clean. highly recommended Hostel.

This is a wonderful place, really quiet, in the middle of the wood, very near to the bridleways, so the perfect place where to stay if you want to explore the Exmoor National Park. Breakfast and dinner are great, and the hostel is very comfortable and clean. The staff is amazing, nice and polite, they really do a marvellous job!... More

YHA Minehead is a real gem with the friendliest staff you could imagine. Set in a beautiful and tranquil surrounding it is the perfect place to be when exploring Exmoor national park. There are nice bridleways for walking just around the corner. (Literally, behind the house.) The breakfast is great, and the place is kept spotless by its friendly warden.

Myself and my husband and two teenage sons have just come back from a really lovely stay at Minehead Youth Hostel. Andrew, Mouse and all the volunteers do a marvellous job. The cleanliness of the place is amazing. The whole set-up is so well organized. The setting is just so peaceful, (maybe not in the am!) . I will definately be... More

I opted to stay here whilst on a business trip to the area. The hostel is situated in an idyllic location away from the town in a wooded combe, this makes it a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Everyone takes their shoes off at the entrance and wanders around in their socks or slippers, which makes this one of... More

We've been here twice recently. Once with a group and then at Easter with the family. On both occasions the hostel was spotlessly clean and we had a great time escaping the city. We were here to explore Exmoor and though it might be near to Minehead (which actually isn't as bad as you expect!!), walking from the hostel onto... More

Stayed here 2 nights with a friend and our 3 kids. Unfortunately had to sleep 5 of us to a room as first night was very busy and 2nd night warden didn't let us know if room available for 2 older boys to share. Quite cramped with 1 child sleeping on mattress on floor, wouldn't want to do this for... More

This hostel is in a beautiful building in a lovely location in the woods on the edge of Exmoor. We were very grateful to be put up at short notice, and enjoyed walks in the snow the day after our stay. This is clearly a hostel for people who want early nights and early starts, and this was made clear... More

Our group recently booked the whole hostel for the weekend and we were very happy indeed with the facilities. Very well equipped, very well maintained, warm and comfortable, and a superb quiet location with a view through the trees down to Minehead. Access is via a no-through road which leads into about half a mile of forest track, and it is... More
