Some reviewers state this is a good hotel for older people. I am in my thirties and found this hotel ideal. The food was fantastic with huge choice; starter, then soup, main course, the best homemade desserts I've ever had (you can even have some of each!), then cheese & biscuits, then coffee and mints! The service was excellent. The... more

Have stayed at the hotel a few times and have always found the staff very attentive. The rooms are good as is the food. This is a ggod centre for walking and also sightseeing by car as many places of interest are within easy driving distance. more

I stayed here with my partner and his parents, as they have stayed here before and mentioned it was a nice relaxing hotel and food was good, well I couldnt agree more. The room was spacious for a standard room, clean and very comfortable. A 5 course TDH dinner was superb, dont think I could of eaten anymore if I... more

I loved staying here. Spacious room, welcoming staff, excellent service, chef's light touch with the Vegetables, Supreme Pheasant supreme. Pitch n putt on the Lawn. Afternoon Tea. Lovely Bubble baths and fluffy towels. Edwardian splendour and round the corner from the seafront.Only bad thing was losing a green glove so if you stay here and find it send it on... more

We were put in a basement room and expected to pay the same rate as a seaview room, the only view we had was of a brick wall, lovely local stone, but still a brick wall. The room was in need of refurbishment and resembled a very cheap and tacky B&B. Our bathroom had no curtain/blind so anyone walking past... more

We received a mailshot offer which we decided was too good to miss, and having read previous reviews booked three nights. I agree with another visitor that the rooms are a little dated. However the friendly staff and spotlessly clean rooms more than make up for this. The hotel has a lovely garden and views of the sea. The food... more
