We booked a two night stay via laterooms.com. On arrival, after a 4 hour journey, we were told at reception that we needed to make a payment by Debit Card, either of the full amount,or £1 which would be refunded, in order that they would have our card details in case we damaged the room. I explained that we do... More

We decided after a bit of travelling from Wells, en route to a weekend break in the Quantocks, that we were hungry Since this is a Wetherspoons pub/hotel, we knew that we would get a good nosh, a decent pint of ale, and all for a very reasonable price As ever Wetherspoons delivered the goods

The original hotel that Weatherpersons took over has been kept pretty much intact to their credit - its a great old building and eating experience, add the outstanding value and quality of food and drink on offer just improves the experience. Just the benchmark for service, value and quality.

The Duke of Wellington in Minehead is a very reasonable priced Hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, airy with very good bath and shower facilities. The food and bar prices are very good indeed, the food is excellent and the beer very cheap. All the staff are very helpful, happy with good senses of humour, I would recommend this Hotel... More

We decided at the last minute to book a one night stay at this hotel. The chap at the reception made us welcome and in view of my walking difficulties offered to get the stair lift down for me. I did decide to walk up the stairs. Our room was spacious and clean. We had an evening meal which was... More

Stayed here with the kids - some of the rooms are really big, light and airy, some are really small and dark. We had both - the family rooms are the big, light and airy ones so it's worth the extra to get these. As we wanted a futher double that was close to the family room, we ended up... More

You get what you pay and I did, the room was dim, the bathroom radiator leaked, there was no soap for the sink and the room did smell a little, but the food and beer was really cheap so it sort of balanced out, did like Minehead quite a nice little town.

Dear Martin P, We are aware of the lighting issue we are in the process of getting better lighting in the rooms. We are very sorry to hear that your radiator leaked and that you had no hand soap, we hope this won't stop you from rebooking with us in the near future. Yours Sincerely Ann More

Fantastic value, for one of the cheapest places in town. We had an enormous and clean family room with a view of the town square. Breakfast was good value and hearty and staff friendly. Recommended.
