Sue and Andy have recently taken over. We received a very friendly welcome and were made very welcome. Room looked newly decorated, very clean, warm and comfortable. Off road parking at back. The breakfast was exceptionally good with fresh fruit, homemade muesli and freshly baked bread. When leaving we already felt like old friends. We certainly intend to return as we... More

Myself and three other cycle tourists stayed at Tregonwell House on the 5th April 2014 on arrival after cycling from Ilfracombe Sue and Andy made us very welcome, after showing us to our room Sue provided us with some excellent cookies as well as a needle and cotton! We ate out in the town, followed by a very restful and... More

Linda and Malcolm provided a very clean and friendly B&B. I stayed in a lovely single room (the only single room in the hotel) at the front of the hotel - a little noisy with a fairly busy road passing by but no real problem. I could not find any dirt or dust anywhere. The bed was comfortable, there was... More

We quite enjoyed our two night visit to Tregonwell House. We found Linda and Malcolm to be most hospitable and welcomed their suggestions when it came to places to eat and things to do in and around Minehead. There was a roomy parking lot for the car, the room itself was comfortable and clean and the B&B is situated in... More

This is the nearest thing you will get to Fawlty Towers. Don't get me wrong, the rooms are clean comfortable with everything that you need for a pleasant stay. That's the good bit, one of my friends got shouted at for shutting the door too noisily, another friend got shouted at for going down the stairs too quickly and I... More

We are home from another brilliant stay with Linda and Malcolm. We were welcomed back like old friends and enjoyed catching up. The rooms are the cleanest we've come across and Malcolm makes a great breakfast. We'll be back again soon.

The only word I recognise from the last review is "Linda" and no way could she be described as either "bossy", "elderly" or "unhelpful". You couldn't imagine more friendly and chatty hosts than Linda and Malcolm; our stay in Somerset would have been much poorer without their help and advice. They only ask that you order your full English breakfast... More
