Marston Lodge Hotel has it all - sea and countryside views, beautiful gardens, helpful and friendly owners as well as being a fascinating place to stay with interesting art and furniture throughout. This sits on a hill overlooking the Bristol Channel, Butlins, and the village of Minehead. If you can get a Seaview room, do so, However, if not, take advantage of the lovely 2nd Floor Balcony patio. Lovely to have a drink out there and watch the slow setting sun. Minehead is a great base in whih to explore Exmoor National... more

Great place to stay, superb location with countryside, town, and sea views. Good food and service .... excellent home cooking ....very interesting decor and furnishings.... and hosts that make you feel at home. Can't wait to return. more

Alex and Romona were an excellent team with her superb food and his entertaining hospitality. We booked an evening meal and invited our friends along, most enjoyable including the snooker afterwards. Well, We booked by phone and had very lucky weather. From the balcony, we had a spectacular view to all around mountains, the sea,the buildings of the city just laid on the horizon under the clouds. Beautiful. I don't think any downtown hotels can give something like this from their backstreet. Funny thing thou, garden lays upper than the building... more
