The location of this Hotel is perfect for Exmoor and all the surrounding areas of interest. Alex the owner gave us a map to see those remote parts and enjoy the views. The hotel was very comfortable, breakfast hot and our host really lovely! Definitely recommend a stay. Faye, London.

We stayed at the Marston Lodge Hotel for one night prior to starting the first section of the SWCP. Our room was clean, very spacious with lovely views over Minehead, it was also peaceful and quiet. Alex, the host, was very welcoming, helpful and knowledgable explaining alternative routes that could be taken and his recommendations for the first sections of... More

The overall experience was outstanding. The room generous in size, well equipped and individual. Breakfast was excellent. The location gave beautiful views across Minehead and the surrounding countryside. This is an excellent base to enjoy the coast and countryside in this special part of England. Friendly and helpful hosts. Would be first choice the next time we are in Minehead.

Extremely welcoming, clean and well presented rooms; beautiful and eclectic decor. Probably the best views in Minehead. Alex looked after us very well, our daughter (11) especially enjoyed helping feed the chickens and collecting the eggs. The billiard room allowed our son (15) to realise he's still the beta male.....although he did manage to out run me up the hill.... More

Beautiful location on the north hill, with far ranging views of Minehead bay. The manager, Alex, is extremely friendly and helped us out with our trip. The lodge is full of tasteful paintings and nic nacs. Very comfy bed, and a superb breakfast. Further up the road is the National trust park. Would recommend

Friendly B&B, good service, good breakfast. Central location. Warm and welcoming. Would return in the future. Comfortable rooms and handy for the local eating establishments. Plenty to see close at hand.

Thank you for your lovely comments; they are greatly appreciated! So many people assume that, because we are on the hill, we are not ideally located, but as you said, we are actually very central to everything.... And we have the panoramic views, which the others don't! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and will look forward to... More

Hubby and I have just returned from our second stay here in the last month, while we have been sorting out the care needs etc of an ageing aunt. What a great base to work from! Such a lovely welcome from Alex and Naomi, they immediately made us feel at home and comfortable at quite a stressful/hectic time. The first... More

We spent 6 nights here as we required some rest and recreation from an African volunteer posting. It proved to be a great place to relax and feel really comfortable with a lovely, warm room (4) with great views. Hosts were most welcoming and Alex gave us advice on some great places to tour around during our stay. Stormy weather... More

Thank you very much for your lovely comments; we are so pleased that you had a relaxing stay and enjoyed our Mystery Tours on Exmoor & surrounding areas. Quite a contrast to Ethiopia! This really is a wonderful place to stay, offering a rare combination of luxuriously spacious rooms, delicious breakfasts, and delightful hosts.
