In the usual London fashion we got stuck in traffic and were 5 hours behind schedule so by the time we got to Minehead we were shattered. We rang a few hotels but they were either all booked up or none had any family rooms. Although they generally don't cater for children they were very accommodating and agreed to take... More

Welcoming family run hotel with lots of atmosphere and character. The place is perched high above the town with stunning panoramic views from the sea round to Exmoor. Comfortable room with nice shower, well positioned mirror in the room, thoughtful touches. Breakfast room benefits from those great views. Lovely location and worth a visit.

I stayed here for only one night but what I remember most is the hospitality and helpfulness of the owners. I had been walking alone across the south west coastal path and found my self late at night in Minehead with nowhere to stay I rang a number of places but couldn't find a room. Finally I rang Marston Lodge... More

Don't judge by the photos, as this is a gem of a place. The owner is one of the most helpful and kind hoteliers I have come across in the UK. She was so accommodating to us, at the very last minute, and so welcoming and kind to our babies. Her breakfasts are hearty and cooked perfectly, and the location... More

We really wanted a small, independant, good quality hotel that was quiet with great views, and, we found it! What an amazing place, full of character, great history, art and decor. We're so pleased that these small hotels still exist and would definitely stay there again. Our room (no. 4), was very comfortable with great views (and a great shower!).... More

Stayed here by chance, but what a JEWEL of a find. Can only recommend to all friends and family and anyone else reading this review. Mine host so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area and SO helpful to send us on the 'not so normal' tourist routes. Had a fabulous long weekend. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and... Stayed here last night just for one night, on arrival just after 4pm, when guests are allowed to book in. We were met by a lady who told us which room we would be staying and told us it was on the top floor, she also gave us a registration card & a card asking what we would like for... More

Everything was just as we wanted it. The room was ideal, great shower as well. Breakfast was 1st class. Very tasty and nice and hot. Fresh fruit, fresh bread and cereals if you wanted it. The hosts were all very pleasant and accommodating and Alex gave excellent advice on places to visit. The town and sea front are about 5... More

The owners are very friendly and this is a lovely hotel. Very comfortable accommodation and they freely admit that they are in the process of doing further upgrading work. We were slightly put off when approaching the hotel with peeling paintwork on the upper parts of the outside, but this is clearly all in hand. There was a breakfast buffet... More

We booked this hotel via the internet as it was close to the camp site that our daughter, son in law and grandgirls were staying. We were not disapointed. This is not a hotel it is a home and you are made to feel as though you are part of the family. Our room overlooked the back and it was a... More
