Thank you so much to Alex and Noami for such a lovely welcome and their care and attention to make our stay easy and enjoyable. This is such a gem of a place to stay, with such a fascinating collection of objects and images that the photographs on the website just do not do justice to. Cosy warm fire in... More

Marston Lodge is situated above the main town and most rooms have a spectacular view of the lower town, bay and even the steam train on the West Somerset rail. Naomi and Alex are incredible hosts, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Food is fabulous, freshly cooked breakfast was a real treat which kept us going all day. Alex gave us... More

Short break to get away from it all and it did not fail. Excellent atmosphere, breakfast was unbeatable, and you can eat to your hearts content, all top quality products. The hotel has a charm about it and we both unwound so much. There is a lovely lounge to sit in the evenings, plenty of reading material, snooker table (not... More

A short visit to ride on the West Somerset Railway and there was really no other venue where we would rather have stayed. A lovely room with a dual aspect furnished in Alex's unique style. A warm welcome from Alex and Naomi got the visit off to the expected good start, and this was continued during our stay. An excellent... More

What a beautiful and charming place this hotel is. Nestled in the hills with fantastic views of Minehead and beyond meant that we were surrounded by peace and quiet and yet a 10 minute walk and you are in the town. Alex was an excellent host and made you feel that nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has a... More

We chose the Marston Lodge for its location upon the hill, affording elevated views which were a pleasure to enjoy. Furnished with unique collections of art and antiques it was the perfect spot, from which to explore Minehead. Fuelled by a hearty cooked breakfast, Alex prepared us in mind and soul for our walk to Porlock Weir. Breakfast was made... More

Stayed (middle aged couple) at the Marston for 5 nights recently and can only agree with recent reviews. Our room (6) had excellent views and was very comfortable. The 'Full English' breakfast is one of the best I have had (and I've eaten a few!) excellent ingredients, cooked to individual liking and served with a smile by Alex. Alex does... More

This Hotel is the perfect antidote to the usual faceless chain hotels. The rooms are individually furnished with Antique furniture, the breakfast is great and it has a view like no other in the area. But best of all are the owners, who are the perfect hosts and will do there best to make your stay perfect. I will be... More

We stayed at this hotel because of the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The breakfast was all you could ask for with eggs kindly supplied by the resident hens. If you want to wake up in Edwardian splendour with the best view in town then this is the place for you. Great breakfast too. Can't wait to visit Minehead again. And soon. There is ample parking at the front and even a full size snooker table.
