My son and I stayed here on a "boys weekend". We had a twin room which was large, very comfortable with en suite shower etc, very well looked after. The pub had a good local atmosphere with a good range of Exmoor beers. The food was excellent, really good value and freshly cooked. The breakfast was probably the best we've... More

We stayed here with two other couples whilst walking the Coleridge Way. The Landlord was very friendly and helpful, to the extent of having collected our luggage for us from the previous night when the taxi that was booked failed to turn up. The rooms were pleasant, although the furnishing were a little tired. The bathroom was clean and comfortable,... More

Arrived at the RBT today to an artic "welcome". We had our 2 well behaved dogs with us - it is totally acceptable to have areas in pubs/inns that are out of bounds to dogs. However, when we asked where we needed to go we were tersely directed to an area with bar stool seating and a high table, and... More

Dear Kim we have taken on board your comments and I do apologise you feel this way but if the Sofa area (low tables) were taken then the other place is the tall tables with stools, we dont allow dogs into the restaurant as we have to be considerate to those customers without dogs. In this instance could the dogs... More

Excellent place, very friendly staff. The enormous breakfasts set you up nicely for the day. Eric the landlord was lovely, as was all the staff. Well priced, clean room and stunning location. We were part of a wedding party and the staff dealt very well with the multiple guests. A nice touch was when we had a table reserved for... More

Had one night in this lovely pub. The room was very spacious with all the amenities you find in a hotel, safe, mini bar a well as the hairdryer etc. The ensuite was small but certainly big enough and spotlessly clean, the shower was excellent and no issues with hot water. We stayed in room 1 which is on the... More

The B&B was very nice. The staff were all friendly and it was a nice touch that they had reserved us a table for dinner on the evening of our arrival. The breakfast and food were excellent and if you stay at the hotel, I would recommend the Carvery on a Sunday. The hotel is ideally located to explore Exmoor... More

Went here a few weeks ago with family for a Sunday carvery. The choice of meats was good and the whole dinner was excellent. And there was a massive list of desserts! Would thoroughly recommend this place if you are visiting Exmoor or staying close by.

Many thanks for your comments we do have quite a selection of homemade desserts including the obscure ones like Junket! (old fashioned pudding which is very popular - just dont ask Caroline to describe it!) If you are nearby please do come and see us again! More

We rocked up here on a Sunday for a bite to eat not expecting it to be busy... How wrong we were! It was very busy and after a brief wait we were shown to a table downstairs. We then headed towards the Carvery for our food... A great selection of veg and good portions of meat made for a... More
