We were only staying here for a night in order to attend a nearby wedding reception. This was actually a real shame as the room is furnished to an exceptional standard and the hospitality shown by Rupert was first class. We stayed in the pink room which is in the annex and has a view of the gardens and surrounding... More

We were going to a birthday dinner at a The Vineyard, which is in walking distance.........along a totally unlit road with no pavement. May not have arrived alive had we not driven there and got friends to drop us back. A pleasant, short walk the next day to collect the car and a nice place to stay.

Stayed for a couple of nights for work here in autumn 2012 (drop-down menu only allows very recent stays, but it was Nov 2012) and was highly impressed by the service, cleanliness, well appointed, tastefully decorated rooms and the excellent breakfast. Friendly hosts and the facilities in the annexe (shared kitchen, lounge etc.) all added to a very good experience... More

Tucked behind the A34 is a stunning farmhouse with magnificent gardens and very comfortable accommidation. Charlotte and Rupert maintain a beautiful place, have extensive space for their guests ... I didn't get to try the swimming pool though!! My room was should with lots of hugely touches but the high point was this morning, after a great breakfast, when Charlie... More

Was concerned re the past reviews and now I have stayed one night I am amazed they are about the same place. Rooms are large, clean and modern. I stayed in the yellow room. Make sure you take time to walk around the gardens. I did and was accomplied by the family Labrador. Very relaxing stay and well worth it.... More

Stayed for just one night and absolutely loved it. We had the two rooms in the annex. Rooms are huge and top quality. Quite how anyone can complain is beyond me. There cant be many B&B's where you have use of a heated swimming pool and beautiful 3 acre gardens to walk around. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful and nothing... More

After reading some of the more recent reviews on here I was slightly panicked that I'd already booked this B&B, but I totally disagree with some of the more negative reviews below. The location was peaceful and the gardens were beautiful, the room was spotlessly clean and stylishly furnished. We were greeted by 'Granny' who couldn't have been more jolly/welcoming... More

Our first impressions upon arrival were that we were more of an inconvenience, as the owners were preparing for a garden show. We stayed in the 4-poster room. It was fine apart from the shabby, well-used towels, and as a previous reviewer has said, the bed certainly need a topper. In addition, our tea cups in the room were not... More

I cannot fault the room we stayed in. It was spacious with plenty of light from two windows - but not overlooked by any other property so very private. The room was furnished to a very high standard with a superb shower room. Slept very well. The hosts had spared no cost in getting the room just right. Shame that... More

An email from the hostess informed us that we could not arrive until 5pm but she did not arrive until 6.15pm to give us our room key. Everything about this place seems to be falling apart and shoddy. The garden is very pretty, but I didn't go there for that. Our room was spacious but things were chipped or falling... More
