I stayed here recently for 2 nights whilst at the Royal Berkshire Show. It is 2 minutes from the M4 and a 5 minute drive to the showground (i wouldn't recomend walking!), so really convenient if you need to be there. It is within the motorway services so there are a few shops nearby, not absolutely nothing else. The hotel... more

This was an amazing experience, which I will never forget. Room was dirty, with mould in the bathroom. View from the window directly on the bushes, and when it 's got dark 1000W halogen beam have made a day again in my room. When checking out I've been presented with the bill for restaurant, £60 for a meal and nearly... more

As before, the room needed a deep clean along with the whole of the hotel, in main part of hotel chairs are worn stains on the walls. Dust everywhere, Bar prices for meals and drinks overpriced Meal in the restaurant was a carvery 3 courses £25.00 pp it was cold, overcooked, we arrived at 7pm just as the doors were... more

I have stayed at the Hilton Newbury North maybe a couple of times a month for the last three years (on business). Hotel capacity in Newbury is hugely smaller than demand, and very often there is simply no alternative. Forget any positive Hilton experience you have ever had. This hotel is terrible. The rooms are very shabby, old, incredibly dusty;... more

I recently attended an all day business meeting at this hotel. A meeting room was used and lunches for those attending ordered in advance, including the requirements for one vegetarian. The room was ok I suppose. You would expect lunch when it arrived to look at least tempting. Lunch arrived. The seven of us looked at each other as we... more

I stay here a lot as it is convenient for work when in Newbury. It seems like pretty much everyone who stays here is on business and I can see no other reason to stay there. It's surrounded by roads and motorways (services are 10 min walk if you fancy that sort of thing) and is average at best. Staff... more

i have stayed here on numerous accounts because of business trips. mostly because of the hilton honors points (otherwise for the same price i would rather stay at the Donnington Valley Hotel) hotel rooms are average sizes for a hilton/4star hotel. i generally find the rooms on the dark side (not having enough lights in the room) double glazing windows.... more

We stayed here for overnight stop on the way to Wales and found it very convenient, just off the motorway. Comfortable accommodation, very warm swimming pool. Good breakfast. We booked through the Hilton's own website and got a very good deal to include breakfast. more

I've stayed here a few times for business and whilst it's ok, I wouldn't recommend staying for more than a night. The food is a bit fussy - they might benefit from the "basic food cooked well" philosophy. The rooms are basic, not always as clean as you might like - I found toe nail clippings on the carpet last... more

One night DBB stay mid week. OK, but not memorable. I was upgraded to a room with wine, bathrobe and chocolates, but noticed mould on the edge of the bathroom sink and no lock on the bathroom door. The room itself was large, clean and very quiet. No trace of cigarette smoke either, unlike Northampton recently. The building layout reminded... more
