We stayed in one of the two-bedroomed self catering apartments which was on the top floor of this very large and imposing Edwardian building. We took our dog, who wasn't too keen on the lift but climbed the stairs no problem. The apartment was well equipped with pretty much everything that you would need. We cooked meals with no problem... Booked very last minute via booking.com. The house/hotel is lovely and old - very large and spacious. All staff were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and big enough for a double bed, 3 single beds and a cot! Plenty of choice for breakfast - service quick and efficient. However the entire hotel... More

Stayed here with my wife and 2 sons (5 & 7 yr olds). I found the staff really friendly, helpful and polite. The apartment we had was a very good size and suited our needs very well. The kitchen had all untensils etc for cooking Scarborough beach was only a 5 minute drive from the beach and there is a... More

Me, my Husband and our 11month old son came here on our first family holiday. It was great. The flat was huge, plenty of room for little ones to crawl around in. Fully functioning kitchen for being self catered. We paid extra for breakfast every morning which was yummy. Such a grand big building. Lovely little in door swimming pool... More

This b&b served it's purpose, a bed for the night. Was a lovely big building but could do with some updating, decor mainly as I found it felt and smelt like a nursing home. With a few alterations I'd stop again and for longer. On the plus side it had a bar, kids room and pool, just needed a update... More

We stayed here for Friday and Saturday, a couple with a 2 year old, and so glad we booked it. The building is impressive and the interior has some excellent original features. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. We had a one room apartment, so spacious the toddler loved running around the rooms, and it was very... More

We were three adults so can make no comment about recreational facilities, and were in an apartment so can make no comment about breakfast. This is an old victorian building, tired, battered around the edges with minimal car parking, but within walking distance of a big Sainsburys (useful if you are self-catering and don't want to sacrifice your parking space)....
