We stayed here with friends so occupied both bedrooms. Both rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had the double room with the bathroom across the corridor, but there is a thick curtain you can pull across to maintain privacy, so no problem whatsoever. Beautiful south facing garden and you are free... More

Spent 2 nights here while attending 2 gigs at Dalby Forest. The hosts are lovely, our room was spacious and elegant and breakfast was super. We were a short walk from Scalby village which was very quaint and there are plenty of local walks. We drove to Dalby Forest through the toll road route (but we were not charged a... More

After having our valentine's weekend cancelled we booked to stay here very last minute. The guesthouse was lovely. Our room was very spacious and overlooked the beautiful gardens to the rear. Breakfast was fabulous and could not be faulted. We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely be returning.

We were welcomed as if friends of long standing. Help and advice were freely offered and given, even to the extent of booking us in for meals at local hostelries. The room was quiet and comfortable, the en-suite relatively spacious. There were books to read, guide books to study and maps to pore over. John and Christine had an extensive... More

This is a great experience of b&b which I would heartily recommend. An extremely comfortable room and bed and a lovely house and garden were supplemented by warmth and kindness from our hosts, Christine and John Goodall. Their hospitality was exceedingly generous; we could not have asked for a more pleasant place from which to explore the wonderful North York... More

We stayed at Holly Croft during August bank holiday weekend. it was a very pleasant experience. the location isn't at the noisy and busy waterfront, but only a short drive away. it fitted us perfectly as it is quite and private. the room is lovely decorated, comfortable, and clean. we also had a separate lounge facing the beautiful garden. Christine... More

The double is very comfortable with a large bathroom just across the corridor. The residents lounge looks down the lovely garden and this is where you have tea and scones on arrival - delicious. John and Christine are very helpful and will book pubs and the local bistro for you. John very kindly took us to two of our eating... More

Christine and John were really helpful in looking after us after a mountain bike adventure. Lovely room, very comfortable and huge bed, delicious breakfast and really attentive. Excellent recommendation at local pub for an evening meal. Beautiful garden and lovely separate guest lounge. Thanks!

We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Christine and John are so welcoming and looked after us fantastically. The house and gardens are beautiful and it is splendid to be able to wander in the garden & have the use of the guest sitting room. The breakfast was superb and a real feast. The bedrooms... More

A beautifully appointed period house, with everything you could want. Christine and John are very friendly, gracious hosts and made us very welcome. Delicious breakfast with an extensive choice. Nothing was too much trouble. On arrival we were welcomed with tea and cake, eaten in a lovely garden. This is a gem of a B&B and we will definitely be... More
