We chose this accommodation on the strength of the trip advisor views, we weren't disappointed. We stayed in the old master bedroom on the top floor at the front, the room was very clean, bright, spacious and comfortable with a side sea view, the bedtime drink and homemade biscuits were a nice touch. The breakfast was nice, plentiful and filling,... more

The Earlsmere is a friendly clean hotel in an excellent location with free safe parking. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard, in keeping with the period property. Breakfast and evening meal are very well presented and freshly prepared using local produce. The steak pie is the best we have ever tasted! more

I live in Scarborough and my Mum and Dad, both 80, who live in Lincs, came to stay at the Earlsmere for a long weekend. Right from the first time I went to look at the hotel on their behalf, the proprietor Lynne could not have been more helpful. She was very welcoming to my parents when they checked in,... more

We stayed at the Earslmere for the weekend celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The B&B was superb, beautifully decorated throughout with plenty of features/decorations in keeping with the age of the property. The room was lovely with a good sea view to one side and some school fields out front but a very peaceful location. Plenty of free parking. Breakfasts... more

We stayed in the Master Bedroom which was just beautiful. The owners have struck an excellent balance of modern and clean, whilst retaining many of the old Edwardian features that this lovely building has. Breakfast was great, a really good selection of cereals, jams and a lovely cooked breakfast in which you could choose what you wanted from the menu.... more

24th July 2009 The Earlsmere Scarborough This is the fifth time we have stayed at the Earlsmere. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and very comfortable plus Lynne's delicious homemade biscuits. In the morning you are spoilt for choice with a variety of cereals, fresh fruit salad and cooked breakfasts, nothing is too much trouble. We always feel that we... more

Having stayed at The Earlmere many times before, we are never disappointed. The friendly owners Lynne and Peter just cannot do enough to make visitors welcome. The rooms are all of a very high standard, comfort and cleanliness being paramount. We prefer to stay in either room 1 or room 6 which are both at the front of the hotel... more

We spent 2 nights here to meet some friends who had stayed there on many occassions Just 10 minutes away from the Lift at South Cliff it is well placed for the Scarborough Spa and the daily out door Concerts Our room was spotlessly clean and recently decorated with a great view of a sports field. Plenty of tea and... more

Stayed over the bank holiday weekend and Lynne was very welcoming when we arrived and our room was ready for us. We stayed on the 1st floor in a twin ensuite room. The room was lovely and quiet and there was a flat screen tv and plenty of tea and ground coffee. A brilliant shower and a hairdryer for us... more
