My wife and I spent a night here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We received very friendly reception and our sea view was warm, clean and very spacious with a very comfortable bed an plenty of storage space. The bathroom was well appointed with bath and shower. The hotel had a small but more than adequete swimin pool . We... More

Have eaten at the Red Lea many times in the past and the food is sometimes pretty good although not plentiful ie one slice of meat and very tough at that, fruit starter that was so under ripe it was inedible and all small portions, most friends at our table were disappointed with the £15 meal.

Went to the Red Lea as a member of a coach party so this was a real test as hotels are notorious of treating coach parties like sheep. This was NOT the case here as we were treated as individuals and as well as the other independent guests. We received a warm welcome and found that the organisation was excellent.... More

Stayed overnight prior to a conference at the nearby Spa complex. When I mentioned this to the receptionist during check in, she helpfully volunteered some local information about theCliff Lift down to the Spa site. 3rd floor front room via very small lift. Thankfully very quiet. Room well serviced. Filling breakfast with tables preallocated by room number for each guest.... More

The hotel itself is a tad tired, and the rooms dated. The shower pressure was pretty non existent and the water from it was warmish. On the flip side, the staff were excellent, especially at reception and the food was of good quality. Is it worth £100 per room a night In short the answer is no, but with a... More

We stayed here in Feb 2015 for along weekend. The weather was cold, misty and depressing but the hotel was warm, welcoming and very comfortable. The staff in this hotel were superb. I had rung to explain the problems that my disabled husband has in getting around and they found the perfect room for us which added greatly to the... More

Our choir had their Annual Dinner here and the food is superb served by efficient and pleasant waitresses. So we had a very pleasant evening. However, what should be stated is that whenever I have had occasion to visit Red Lea the staff are so welcoming and helpful that it is a pleasure to visit this lovely hotel. The lounges... More

What a truly lovely place..... We travelled over from the Isle of Man and didn't get to the hotel until 4am. We were greeted by a lovely wee night porter who couldn't have been more helpful... Our room was really nice and a gorgeous sea view too... Breakfast next morning was wonderful and finished at 9.30am which for us was... More

When we got there Jane on reception was so welcoming and friendly. We were put in a twin room rather than a double so asked to swap which Jane sorted straight away. The only issue was that the room was cold Jane offered a heater but we refused thinking that it would warm up when the heating kicked in but... More

I brought a group of 28 people to the Red Lea for the New Year celebration and speak on behalf of all but one!!. 27 of us had a thoroughly good time throughout our stay. The Hostess started by giving a champagne party and personally introducing herself to all of the guests. The Hotel it's self was above average and... More
