Just got back from a lovely night away. Paid £79.00 at the Red Lea Hotel. Lovely snug double room, had a lovely nights sleep. The hotel is dated but very clean and comfy. The staff are lovely and can't do enough for you. Breakfast was well cooked although I wasn't keen on the display and presentation of the cereals, jams... More

Stayed here for 3 nights with my family, the hotel was clean and friendly. The staff were very helpful, the rooms was gorgeous, very comfortable beds. I would stay here again. The swimming pool was clean. The only downside was the beer in the hotel bar, it have been better if they had more of a selection of lagers.

I was 100% happy with this accommodation , the staff were all great with us and our two boys who are 5 and 9, the food was as good as home cooked and the waiting staff were fantastic and can not be faulted, we will be going back and I will recommend this hotel as the best we have stayed... More

This hotel looks plain from the outside but it has a nice pool and an old fashioned lift. The room is adequate and it is nice to have a door separating the bathroom and bedroom. The staff are very pleasant and good. Sitting here for breakfast is a luxury as you get served from drinks, fruits, cereal to cooked breakfast.... More

The hotel is nice but a bit far out of the centre of town though if fine it's a pleasant stroll. The hotel is a bit dated, although the bedrooms are of a good size with a nice comfy bed, and plenty of wardrobe space with usual tea / coffee making facilities. The bathroom was nice with a lovely Jacuzzi... More

Thank you for taking your time to review the Red Lea Hotel. We are glad that you enjoyed our freshly cooked Yorkshire breakfast. We pride ourselves in service and quality which is why we insist on table rather than 'self' service at all meal times, offering the personal touch that we feel many hotels lack at breakfast. We are sorry... More

We booked very last minute for 2 adults and an under-2 year old for 2 nights. We were upgraded into a larger room with pleasure. Check in at 3 but we arrived at 12 and the room was ready for us. Lovely old building with beautiful features and large sunlit dining area, all staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast... More

The hotel has a lovely quiet, but convenient location and was easy to find. We had a friendly welcome in reception and found parking easily near the hotel for £1. This was a very good start to our stay. Our room had a sea view, but it is not a 'full on, front sea view', more a side view. The... More

Thank you for reviewing the Red Lea Hotel. As we are situated on Prince of Wales Terrace and not the Esplanade we are not parallel to the sea, however due to our elevation and the natural curve of the coast line all of our sea view rooms have a wonderful view of the sea. Unfortunately on the night of your... More

My wife and I needed a short and relaxing break and Scarborough is a real favourite. Situated on the Esplanade, the Red Lea is a very friendly and welcoming place. The staff are well trained and focussed on their jobs and this comes across very strongly. There is a swimming pool and our room had a bay window sea view,... More

We stayed in Yorkshire for a wedding and the accommodation was arranged by the happy couple so we arrived at the hotel not really knowing what to expect. It resembles many old Victorian seaside hotels on the outside and indeed the reception and public rooms downstairs take you back to the days of draylon furniture, flock wallpaper and brightly patterned...
