Just had 2 nights at the paragon, I have to disagree with the last review we stayed in room 10 on the first floor and it is well adequate for a great weekend break, yes the stairs are a killer but it does tell you that when you book it. The owners have great passion for the area and can't... More

Firstly may i say i hate giving negative responses to almost anything, that said i just wanted to give a brief word of warning. The Paragon bills itself as a hotel which i must disagree with, it really is most definitely a b&b, a nice little place, but 'hotel' is misleading, however we were greeted by an extremely friendly and... Just returned from a 2night break ,the hotel is clean and tidy with fantastic staff . From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel very welcome whilst paying for our room We chatted and mentioned it was our anniversary weekend . On our last morning we went to breakfast that was ample and tasty to... More

Stayed here with my fiancee over armed forces weekend as a bit of a getaway during our wedding preparation stress! Lovely place and very clean, the food is great and let me tell you they don't let you go hungry! Great facilities and a lovely comfy bed. The only nit pick I have is the parking, there is ample parking... More

Chose this place after reading reviews on here for a 2 night break for Armed Forces Day. Arrived late afternoon to be greeted by Mike, the very friendly proprietor. Asked him to recommend somewhere to eat and not only did he recommend but rang to book us a table too! When we came down ready for a drink in the... More

Had a 3 night break here with my wife. Hotel has great views over the North Bay and a telescope and binoculars to help out! Booked late so was on the top floor, 65 stairs !!! Room 14 was small but clean and comfortable, with, free-view tv and plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Lovely comfortable bed and great... More

First time in a long time we've stayed in B&B so perhaps I'm judging unfairly. The hotel is lovely-a beautiful lounge overlooking the sea and the castle. There is a small and decently stocked bar (good wine, thank heavens) and a lot of board games for all ages. I particulalry liked the binoculars and telescope in the lounge window. Breakfast was... I stayed here for 2nights to visit a friend.. Found it through the internet and the reviews seemed very appealing so I booked a single room for myself as I was travelling alone. I was greeted by Mike, he was very lovely and very informative about restaurants and things to do in the local area. I was given room 16,... More
