Staying at the Ainsley Hotel in Scarborough was one of the best times away. You had everything you could ask for; peace and quiet, great location and above all a great cooked breakfast every morning. The sea views were fantastic and panoramic and a welcome sight to see everyday. Cost of staying there incredible. 25GBP per person per night in... more

I've stayed in Scarborough many times and although looked ok on the website, the reality was.... well....everything was mediocre from the bedrooms to the breakfast although to be fair it was clean (I definitely wouldn't have spent a night there if it wasn't). It just needs updating somewhat (orange bedroom!! avocado loo circa 1976!) Been back to S'boro this week,... more

I stayed alone, and was made to feel very welcome! My room was lovely and clean, the tv reception was actually clear which for those of u who stay in b&bs often, is not so common!!
