Just got back from staying here and thought I'd write a review as I've had a great time. The hotel is less than a minutes walk into the town centre, yet a quiet location. The hotel has about 20 rooms, all en-suite. Had a look at both the standard and superior rooms, not much different, apart from bigger in size,... more

Stayed for one night at easter. Check in was good, room and bathroom clean, quiet and modern with nice toiletries, bed very comfortable, shame about the very old, (no remote!) tv. we had a partial sea view Breakfast was good, though when we were there the room needed decorating. Staff were helpful and kept our baggage. The mini eggs on... more

I have been going to Scarborough for over 30 years and stayed in many hotels, some good some bad but the Riviera is by far the best little hotel I've stayed in. My family and I stayed for three nights in a family superior room ( room 8 ) which consisted of a double bed and a single with a... more

We had originally booked to stay in The Grand Hotel which the hotel cancelled 72 hours before our break as the renovation was not complete. They recommended the Riviera which was just across the road and what a blessing that turned out to be. The Riviera was a small B&B which was immaculately decorated, it has a lovely lounge and... more

We have just come back from another great stay at the hotel. We decided to go for valantines night and were not dissapointed. The room was great the view was lovely and the staff were more than helpful. We have stayed there three times now and each time has been better than the first. No complaints. more

I initially wrote a very descriptive review but then thought people wouldnt want to read it if its too long so a basic list will do Very poor hotel not recommended Unfriendly host pay on arrival (as though they know people wont be satisfied) Very poor standard of some rooms.I changed 1st room after what I thought was an open... more

For £44 B&B this was very poor value. Bedrooms were small and we could hear drunkards at a nearby bar until the early hours. We were put in a so-called superior room for which we had to pay £10 extra per night yet we didn't even have a sea view. What's more, we hadn't requested such a room. Breakfast was... more

We spent the night of 9th February at the Riviera Hotel, and must compliment management and staff for the way we were dealt with. From the time we arrived, and enquired about a room for the night for my wife and I, to the time we checked out, we were treated with professionalism. We did not book the room in... more

I found myself stranded in Scarborough on a Saturday night on my way to see a friend with whom I was supposed to stay. It was getting late so I decided to treat myself to a hotel . Unfotunately most hotels, although very grand, are very faded and when I found the Riviera I thought - cool, contemporary and clean.... more
