Just a last minute booking. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Very easy access to town centre (even by foot) Right side of town. North Bay has really gone down the nick. Enjoyed the breakfast. Would stay again.

Little I knew when I first ended up at the Raincliffe Hotel, one year ago, when going to an Anglolang course for teachers. As the course was a deal with the Anglolang school, I didn't know where I was going to stay other than that I had asked for a stay at a hotel. Luckily enough I ended up at... More

We have just returned from a four night stay at this gem of a hotel. It is in a prime position in Scarborough, in easy walking distance from all the attractions. The hotel is very clean and a lovely building, with lots of character. Mal and Katherine, the owners, are very friendly people, very helpful from arrival to departure, with... More

We have just returned home after a Sat night away at the Raincliffe hotel, when we arrived Mal greeted us and we immediately felt at home, nothing was too much trouble, he sorted a permit for our car to park immediately at the front of the hotel , booked us a taxi to take us to our friends wedding and... We stayed at the Raincliffe for three nights on a recent short break, to take in Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, and Bridlington. The hotel was well positioned, clean, and the room had all the facilities you could wish for. As for the hosts they were both great, and helped make our stay a really pleasant one. If your looking for somewhere... More

Just had a wonderful week in Scarborough at the Raincliffe Hotel. The ground floor garden room was lovely, spacious and comfortable . The tea/coffee and biscuits were refilled every day. Breakfast was plentiful and set us up for the day. We also ate at the hotel several nights of our stay and the food was home cooked and brilliant. Drinks... More

Recently stayed at the Raincliffe after reading the reviews, we booked direct and paid £85 per night for 2 nights, for their superior room which promised a king size bed. I really don't think it was a king size though, no bigger than my ordinary double at home. This in itself wasn't a problem to be honest and the hotel... More

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review of our guest house; I am pleased there were elements that met with your satisfaction. Regards the size of your bed it was a 5’ by 6’6” as opposed to a standard double bed which is 4’6” by 6’3” in size which may clarify your dilemma. Just thinking about your... More

The first 2 nights of our tour were spent on 16/17 May at the Raincliffe. We received a very warm welcome from Mal and Katherine, The hotel had a warm relaxing feel from the start. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated, comfortable beds, superb En-suite, quality bedding and towels etc. A flat screen TV and a choice of beverages and biscuits... More
