Mal and Kath are great providers of rest and refreshment. The B & B is ideal and well near the Spa where the attractions take place. We will always stay there and are booked again when we come to the Jazz Festival. Comfortable, friendly and convenient

We stayed at the Raincliffe for two nights knowing what to expect having been there before. Mal and Katherine are the perfect hosts and Mal's full English breakfast is worthy of note. The atmosphere is great and the rooms are bright, clean and above all unlike some places they were nice and warm. I cannot find a down side at... More

Very suitable location for students attending courses at www.anglolang.com and anyone travelling by car and then wanting to walk to town centre or beach. Mal and Katie will look after you in the most caring, humorous and friendly way.

Found this little gem on trip advisor, needed a large family room for five of us for a three day trip to Scarborough. Katherine could not have been more helpful, either during the booking process, or whilst we were staying. She also cooks a wonderful breakfast and is most amenable to the culinary whims of travellers, my children included especially!... More

yet another excellent stay in this wonderful hotel. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spotless and comfortable and it is only a short stroll away from the sea front and the town, yet is situated in a quiet location. The breakfast will certainly keep you going all day and is cooked to perfection. I can not recommend... More

I spent 2 nights at this lovely, friendly, clean B&B. I would highly recommend it and it was very child friendly. Katherine the owner is lovely and full of local knowledge. Definitely recommend a visit to this lovely establishment.

Very comfortable stay and excellent meals with a real 'home cooking' taste and presentation. There is a flexible approach and we were able to have dinner a little later than 'advertised'. Similarly, the owner was very helpful when we asked for an earlier breakfast, insisting on producing the 'full monty' for us when such requests in other hotels frequently produces... More

The Raincliffe is a truly wonderful hotel, the owners are extremely helpful and nice. The hotel itself is clean, quiet and located near the train station. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys friendly people and a nice atmosphere.

We found the raincliffe an amazing hotel to stay in, having visited the establishment previously we have never met such a hard working, dedicated and welcoming couple! Malcolm and Katherine go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and homely! The hotel is absolutely immaculate and comfortable, situated within a stones throw from the center of Scarborough, we highly... More
