We stayed overnight at the Raincliffe whilst visiting friends in Scarborough. We were very impressed that the hotel maintained very high standards throughout. The décor was bright and fresh and the rooms were exceptionally clean. The ground floor double room was spacious and a hospitality tray was well-stocked. The bathroom with shower was bright and sparkling with good quality towels.... More

We stayed here for two nights - Katherine was so welcoming and hospitable. The breakfast was superb with a wide choice available. Our bedroom was large and comfortable. Katherine has a wealth of local knowledge which was very helpful. The hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance of the sea front and the town. We would definitely recommend... More

Stayed at this hotel for just one night, 20/01/13, spur of the minute idea to have a night away and found this place on the net. All I can say is dropped on our feet big time. The hotel had only us and another couple staying but they deserve so much more, we were made to feel very welcome from... More

My husband & I stayed for 1 night as I was attending a training course in the area. We received a warm and friendly welcome. There had been a problem with the electricity in some of the rooms and we were effortlessly put into an upgraded room without having known about the electrical problem to start with. Lovely nicely decorated... More

Stayed for only 1 night but came away wishing it was more! Firstly the room - We had the 4 poster bedroom which was spotlessly clean, it had all the usual hotel amenities in the room and was nicely decorated. The en-suite bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a hotel and we had wonderful hot showers before going... More

I can highly recommend this lovely establishment with the most wonderful hosts there are to find. Mal and Katherine are simply the best doing all they can to make you feel comfortable and at ease. This was my second stay at 'Raincliffe' this year and the reason I went back was the friendly atmosphere and the lovely room where I... More

I went to Scarborough together with my parents this fall. My mum had stayed at the Raincliffe once before, and from what she had told us about her stay, we had high expectations. Our expectations were very well met, and we went on to having a very lovely holiday. Mal and Katherine made us feel right at home - I... More

This was our first visit to this hotel, but it had been highly recommended by a relative. We had a lovely relaxing weekend and will certainly stay again. The location is great, the hotel is beautifully clean and nicely furnished. Catherine was a warm and friendly host and the breakfast was fantastic.
