We loved it so much we returned this last week. the hotel is so homely and the food is to die for, the chef Steven was trained by Gordon Ramsey in London so the food is outstanding without the foul language.... more

We recently visited the St Nicholas Lodge (formely known as The Stewart Hotel) in Scarborough. What a shock to find that this type of accomodation still exists! The place was drab, run down and to say that the food was awful was an understatement. We paid £90 per night for our room and I have paid less in 4 star... more

A wonderful hotel a real gem with wonderful sea views and fantastic staff. If you are looking for high quality accommodation (the hotel has a lift and good size rooms) that isn't part of a big group (no personality and bland, clinical rooms) then this is it. It is borderline boutique and the owner (a lovely lady and her son)... more

Their brochure tells you that holidaymakers have been visiting the Stewart for a couple of centuries and you can feel the history in this traditional old building. They have installed a lift recently and this made it very accessible for my disabled mother. Not many traditional b and b's have lifts and the staff were very helpful, storing the wheelchair... more
