Far too much money for a hotel with delusions of grandeur. Poor service, no one at reception, very hot throughout, windows that wouldn't open and no hot water. Yes, the photos on the website look great but the hotel is far from it!

Room was big and clean, had to run the tap for 10 mins before the shower would heat, only a slight inconvenience. Pool small and shallow, if you want to go for a morning swim, it's not ideal, and the sauna was very small too, not good if you don't want to rub up against a stranger. Jacuzzi was just... More

. Room was small for 3 people staying, we found ourselves in the situation of one person moving whilst everyone else sat on the bed. The Chair in front of wardrobe meant you could not access the wardrobe properly? Because of the room being so small you could not move the chair? So we ended keeping it in the bathroom... More

Went down for evening meal, no tables for us to sit together. Told "38 covers go & find a seat." very abrupt & rude man. Food tasteless every night. The young girl waitress very pleasant & worked very hard. Very short of staff. Would not recommend this Hotel to family & friends.

stayed for the weekend with group of friends. Hotel in a fab position with lovely views over Scarborough (I would recommend asking for a seaview room either at the front or on the north facing side of the hotel.) Bar was standard hotel prices but very comfortable and friendly although service was a little slow. Breakfast was lovely although we... More

Paid £139 for one night in room 314, room only. Hugely disappointed and absolutely not worth the money we paid!! A very small double room with a view of rooftops and backyards. A dirty bathroom with a grubby shower curtain and pubic hairs around the bath taps. Very noisy through the night so didn't get much sleep, feel ripped off... More

I booked this as a special treat for one of two nights first weekend away from kids (and hubby)! Single room was strangely placed between 2nd and 3rd floor, facing the back and smelt musty. Corridors on each floor similar smell- maybe the carpets need cleaning? Room supplies of coffee limited to one sachet of de-caf and one normal. That... More

I am a senior contributor on trip advisor, and I am always very nice in my reviews, but I'm sad to say this hotel is very disappointing. When I booked the hotel, I sent them an email telling them it was my husbands birthday, and could I reserve a sea view table in the restaurant, as we are travelling up... More

Booked for a special spa day with a couple of treatments and afternoon tea thrown in. Things were a little muddled as one of the therapists had phoned in sick so we had to 'fit' in for treatments. This wasn't too much of a problem but it would have been much nicer to have the 2 of us in the... More
