Didn't stay here so can't comment on the rooms. We bobbed in for a drink one Saturday afternoon as we heard that there was live music. The bar was pretty grotty, think they are going for the olde world type of decor but really it was just run down and you could see where they had tried to rennovate bits... More

The main reviews are actually spot on, the room is at the top of the building, the only area that looked as though it had been refurbished was the carpet throughout. The pictures by other guests were spot on, the same mattress, the head of the shower needs changing the room was very musty would put this down to the... More

We didn't have a very nice time here and the bed linen wasn't as clean as may be it should have been. However, it could have been much worse and we made the best of our stay. There were a few little creatures that shouldn't have been there on the window sills and the bath was a little dirty.

We booked room 3 for a long weekend despite reading the reviews- I went on gut instinct, and I'm pleased I did. I now know usually bad reviews mean nothing and they are from people that don't read the description of the place and expect things that aren't included in the description. What you read is what you get. It... More

Me and my wife stayed here in september for 2 nights. the pictures on the website must be from another hotel. we couldn't wait to get out, (£45.00 per night no breakfast) as soon as my wife opened the room door she sat on the bed and cried. the mattress looked like it had been dragged out of a local... I know it's only rooms over a pub and one shouldn't expect much but these are awful rooms. Stal smell of sweat, mucky brown carpet, missing bits of plaster, broken window pane, indescribeable pillows, plug sockets hanging off walls, cigarette burns on the windowledge...I could go on but would run out of space. The sad thing is with a bit... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here from the monday 1st august to thursday the 4th, and we loved it. After saying goodbye to my mum and family, who we were previously staying with, we were shown up to room 3, which is right at the top. The woman that directed us was very friendly and even though there were many... More

This review is delayed due to technical problems with my computer.Celebrating a family birthday in June, we booked 2 rooms here. From the moment we were led up the stairs at the back of the pub, we were feeling negative. Negativity increased once inside the rooms. In 1 room, the walls were marked and there were dead insects on the window sill.The... More

Ok before you start reading this I would just like to say, that I don't general moan or write negative feedback about our trips away. When I say I, I actually mean my husband and our two friends age range 35-40 years old. We arrived at the hotel and walked into the bar area for our keys, we was told... More
