After readin the reviews on trip advisor we were a bit worried. Wait until you get there to make up your own mind. Roland was the perfect host & very attentive.. We have just returned from a lovely two night stay at The Windmill. Tucked away down a tiny side street , The Windmill is charming. With a gated forecourt supervised with masterly organisation by Roland there was never a problem parking. Stayed here for 3 days recently.Found the location good and parking available,not the norm in Scarborough . Booked a two night stay in the Windmill Balcony Room. Absolutely amazing views over Scarborough. The accommodation was very clean - in fact spotless, and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and Roland,the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much, we have booked another break for September for 8 nights. Would recommend this hotel anytime. more

Arrived mid-afternoon and had no problem parking in the enclosed courtyard, though it probably gets a bit of a squeeze in high season. Met by proprietor, and taken to room. We stayed in two rooms on 1st floor of courtyard, rooms were described as deluxe each having a four poster bed that were very comfortable. My wife, 9 yr old daughter and myself recently spent the weekend at the windmill. We had an enjoyable stay at The Windmill, where we were warmly greeted by our genial host, Rupert. Our room was comfortable with a king size 4 poster bed (& an efficient radiator). A delicious breakfast was nicely served in the quirky surroundings of the windmill. more
