Had to think twice about writing this review. The reason for this is a selfish one, as we perhaps don't want too many people finding out about this little gem, but then in all fairness to Rowland and Angela(the owners) we thought we should post a review. Stayed for eight nights, and as in June, the hospitality was out of... more

After readin the reviews on trip advisor we were a bit worried. Wait until you get there to make up your own mind. Roland was the perfect host & very attentive.. Yes the money was asked for staightaway & we were asked what we wanted for breakfast next day. We did not have a problem with that. After all this... more

We have just returned from a lovely two night stay at The Windmill. Tucked away down a tiny side street , The Windmill is charming. With a gated forecourt supervised with masterly organisation by Roland there was never a problem parking. We stayed in the top flat which is modern, well equipped & spotlessly clean with everything we needed for... more

Stayed here for 3 days recently.Found the location good and parking available, not the norm in Scarborough . Rooms were good, clean and comfortable and with 20% off for a 3 night stay excellent value.Roland is the perfect host, very friendly and hospitable but not overbearing or overfamiliar. Breakfast was an excellent choice and very fresh, with extra toast, coffee etc always being... more

Myself and my Partner went away for a few days to celebrate a birthday in Scarborough. We were only there a few days but had a fantastic stay. We made friends with the little old mangy cat that we still talk about today and the room was really comfy. The shower was brilliant, always very important in my eyes! The... more

So pleased you enjoyed your stay and it's always a pleasure to receive feedback. Not sure where the black cat came from but glad it added to the enjoyment and fond memories you have of your time at The Windmill.

Booked a two night stay in the Windmill Balcony Room. Absolutely amazing views over Scarborough. The accommodation was very clean - in fact spotless, and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and Roland, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much, we have booked another break for September for 8 nights. Would recommend this hotel anytime. more

Arrived mid-afternoon and had no problem parking in the enclosed courtyard, though it probably gets a bit of a squeeze in high season. Met by proprietor, and taken to room. We did not stay in the actual Windmill but in a side room. The room was clean, quite large for a B&B, with a large metal framed bed, and a... more

We stayed in two rooms on 1st floor of courtyard, rooms were described as deluxe each having a four poster bed that were very comfortable. One room had a bath the other a shower, certainly the shower worked well and would always be my preference. The rooms had freeview digital TV's & a hospitality tray that contained usual tea &... more

My wife, 9 yr old daughter and myself recently spent the weekend at the windmill. We stayed in one of the courtyard rooms which we found very pleasant, clean and with easily enough space for the three of us. The adjoining rooms worked well, a bath in one and a shower in the other catered for all needs. Roland was... more

We had an enjoyable stay at The Windmill, where we were warmly greeted by our genial host, Rupert. Our room was comfortable with a king size 4 poster bed (& an efficient radiator). A delicious breakfast was nicely served in the quirky surroundings of the windmill. more
