We spent three nights here earlier this week. It was an interesting place to stay but be sure you know what you will find. Firstly, do not assume that you will be staying in the windmill itself. The majority of accommodation is in rooms attached to the mill. These rooms are very nicely decorated with pictures, knic-knacks, a sofa and... More

Just returned from a refreshing break at this unique Windmill. We stayed in the Madeline suite, actually in the Windmill itself. The accommodation is quality, spottless, and very spacious,on two floors. The proprietors Angela and Roland were fantastic hosts. The breakfast was very good.Agreat variety. My husband had the full english, of which he said was superb.I had the poached eggs,(Perfectly cooked)... This Bed and Breakfast was clean and the English breakfast was very good, the staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. Parking was very tight. We could have had an equally pleasant stay elsewhere at a much ,more competitive price.

I arranged a group of 12 adults to stay at The Windmill to celebrate friends' forthcoming marriage as they did not fancy the usual hen/stag nights. The location comes as quite a surprise - virtually hidden in the streets of Scarborough and close to local amenities/beach. Once inside the complex it feels very personal and private. The accommodation is sympathetically... More

We stayed one night in the balcony suite( at the top of the windmill tower). All I can say is wow!! It has been sympathetically converted to B&B accommodation, still retaining original features. The circular pattern of the millstone can still be seen in the main beam. Lovely circular rooms and spiral staircases. Tastefully decorated and quality furnishings too. I... More

We stayed one night in windmill itself (lower of the 2 'flats'). The bedroom has a nice ensuite and the living room has good kitchen facilities. Rooms were warm and clean and - of course - circular. Breakfast cooked by Jenny was very good. Neighbourhood has traditional and bijou shops. Would love to stay there again.

The Windmill at Scarborough surely must rank as the most unique Boutique hotel or self catering cottage break in England. I recommend you stay in the en-suite premier king-size four poster room, although they have excellent self catering cottage breaks available also. The four poster bed is king-size and the room also has its own two seater sofa as well as... Thank you for your lovely review; it is always gratifying to meet guests who enjoy and make the most of Scarborough during their stay. Having visited the area on numerous occasions, you obviously know your way around, and of course there's always something new going on, and being so close to the Stephen Joseph Theatre is a bonus. Thank you... More

We spent 4 nights in cornflower cottage, located at the side of the windmill. We were situated central to the town, and close to all amenities. The cottage was clean and comfortable with plenty of available self catering facilities. We were greeted by Roland who was very helpful.Overall we enjoyed a good relaxing break.
