Previously stayed here in 2010. Again, very hospitable, friendly service. Good full English breakfast (with home made preserves) sets you up for the day. Can be taken in the conservatory with fantastic views of Scarborough's North Bay. Very good location on the headland just below Scarborough Castle, near St Mary's church. Not too far from the town, restaurants and harbour... More

On arrival, we we're greeted by John who helped us in with our cases. Once unpacked, we had their 'cream tea'. Wonderful home made produce; impeccably served, whilst we relaxed for the afternoon in the conservatory area with our dog. John's recommendation of a local 'dog friendly' pub that evening proved an ideal choice for real ale, super food and... More

Just got back from a brilliant stay at the castle. 3 generations plus bella the boxer were perfectly situated on the 3 terrace bedrooms with access to all the rooms. Not the quietest of kids especially Fraser. But John and Janet made us feel so welcome .Breakfast which is superb was a prime example of Johns patience with us. The whole... More

Stayed for 2 nights after reading the reviews on tripadvisor and was very happy with the place. Came alone and I must say John and Janet were very attentive and made me feel very welcomed and looked after. The place is overlooks the North Bay and the view was amazing - even caught a sunset! Located quite near the South... More

Met with a very warm welcome from John and Janet and shown to our spacious dog friendly room. Door out on to the rooftop with the most beautiful view over the North Bay which... More

We booked a 3 night stay here after reading the reviews on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a perfect location with fantastic views. It is high up, between the North & South bays, I have mobility issues but managed to get around ok. We stayed in room 5, which was a good size with patio... More

We had a two night break at this hotel ( we have stayed here before). We received a relaxed friendly welcome. We stayed in a room which had a roof terrace with table and chairs and a fantastic view over the north bay. The room had been modernised, and had a new shower room with under floor heating. Full english... More

This is a wonderful place to stay. Nestled under the remains of Scarborough Castle the views are spectacular. Close by is St Mary's Church where the remains of the author Anne Bronte are. Importantly guests are well cared for by John and Janet who also welcome dogs. You will definitely want to go back.
