We travelled to The Greno from Aberdeenshire at the beginning of our summer holidays for a 5 night stay. When we booked a few months before by telephone, the owners were very helpful and made every effort to ensure that we would have exactly what we were looking for, from the type of room to our dietary needs. The hotel... more

Good location on the north shore, but only 5 minutes from towm center and the busier South shore. Most rooms overlook the sea. We were upgraded to a family room at no extra cost, in order to accomodate a travel cot for our baby daughter, which was appreciated. Our room was clean and comfortable, although was one of the rooms... more

I recently stayed at the Greno and was not dissapointed. I actually left it fairly late to book as it was a last minute idea to take my three kids, my parents and my nana away for a couple of days. As you can imagine, trying to accomodate 7 people in the same hotel with 3 days notice could have... more

Staying at the Greno was a pleasure. The hosts, Kath and Martin, were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble for them. It's not often you are waited on with such wit and good humour! The great breakfasts each morning certainly got us off to a good start for the day ahead. We have stayed in many hotels and guest... more

Stayed here (on business) for three nights, and I have to say you won't find better value for money. Fantstic views accross the North Bay of Scarborough, perfect location for a stroll in the morning. The hotel is also close to the town centre, the South Bay and other Scarborough attractions. I read with interest the 'Disappointing' comments from Fiona... more

This is a great little family run B&B to stay at, its near the coast and not far from the town centre. From the moment we arrived to when we had to leave, we were made to feel welcome. Martin greeted us and helped with our luggage, later that day we met Kath whom was also welcoming. we got shown... more

For starters the Hotel is in a very nice area. Beautiful view from our small but cosy room. Very friendly owners and were nice to talk to. Short walk from the south beach and the town centre. Breakfast was served between 8.45 and 9.30. They had a large choice, cereals, toast, juice, yoghurts and more. Overall my girlfriend and i... more

We had a very pleasant stay and were lucky enough to be booked into one of the only rooms that has so far had a makeover. This included a swish en suite bathroom and a plasma tv screen, sadly no cable channels were included but it was still cool. The room was spotless and cosy but could have been made... more

After reading glowing reviews from other travellers, we decided on this hotel for a family weekend. We were not impressed and it just goes to show how subjective the travel experience is. On the plus side, the room itself was clean and had bunkbeds which the kids loved, a nice touch was the cartons of juice on the coffee tray.... more
