Excellent hotel, location, staff etc!!! First time here and we will be back. We had such a lovely stay here. The whole team know how to treat guests and really do make you feel like a friend. Girl with red hair (sorry can't recall her name) who serves breakfast deserves a special mention, as she was always so cheery and... More

It's true The Duke of York really is royality. It's the crown jewel of Scarborough. Centrally placed with views to die for while having the most excellent breakfast. The cooked breakfast is both freshly and individually cooked to SUIT YOU DAILY. Nothing was to much trouble. From the moment we walked down the little street and before we had time... More

The Duke of York was a great place to stay. Very good location very friendly staff who could not do enough to help you. Very good value for money. I would strongly recommend this guest house as a fabulous place to stay a little gem. Melanie and myself had a great time in Scarborough.

I must apologise for the following review of the Duke of York guest house. I have written reviews in the past of this fantastic "home from home" accommodation and am now starting to sound like a broken record!! Quite simply, it cannot get any better. We have just had another wonderful stay with Jo and her lovely staff and re-booked... More

Just returned home from a three night stay and can't praise it highly enough from the warm welcome to the warm goodbye. The customer service from Jo and all her staff is fantastic, the best we have experienced in any establishment. We stayed in the family room no.6 and the views are great. The room is spacious and well laid... More

Stayed two nights at the Duke of York guest house and wished we could've stayed longer. We stayed in room 3 and loved sitting on the balcony looking out to sea and watching the world go by. We had a lovely cooked breakfast each morning followed by fresh fruit and endless cups of tea. Been visiting Scarborough for a good... More

We booked last minute and was lucky enough to get a cancelation. Jo was so helpful and welcoming it was fantastic customer service. We have stayed in other establishments in scarborough inc the Crown Spa which was very nice but it missed the personal touch of 'Duke of York Guest House'. We will definitely stay here again if we can... More

We came up for our daughter's graduation & Jo went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, even offering to do breakfast earlier for us. Great service at breakfast. Lovely clean rooms. We read the only one negative review on here complaing about the dogs. We do not have dogs and both times we have... More

I stayed here for 4 nights in late May and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I arrived to a warm welcome from Joanne and Val and was given the choice of either of the rooms on the top floor facing the bay. The view is amazing and during my stay I never tired of it. The room was... More
