Stayed here while on business in the area. Very centrally located with own free car park. My room was very spacious & the king size bed very comfortable. The breakfast service was great & all the staff extremely friendly & helpful. My room rate which I negotiated was reasonable - I have already booked to go back. They are making... More

This hotel had only just changed management and as from 23rd December will be closed for refurbishment. The hotel staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room overlooked a small park and the sea. It was well situated, with free parking, on the south bay and close to the shopping centre. Carpets on staircase are worn and... More

Unfamiliar with Scarborough, we just read reviews and kept our fingers crossed that we had chosen well, for our 3 nights stay. We knew that if people returned for a second time, there must be a reason and we were not disappointed. The staff are exceptional in their efficiency and warm, welcoming manner - in fact we thought that one... More

stayed here for 1 night 4th October 2014. Room very large , clean and comfortable. Extra large bed, flat screen TV and free wifi. To top it all 3 large windows which overlooked a small park and the sea. Good value for money and parking too. Breakfast was made to order. Decor traditional and in the style of the building,no... I'm all for retro, it holds it's place in 21st century fashion, art, music and design. This hotel has it's place in the retro era of the 80's but WITHOUT the comforts of the 21st century. The basic things like a carpet being replaced (serious trip points on stairways), or a fully functioning kitchen extractor (fried food smells) would only... More

Thank you for taking the trouble to write a review. We are always pleased to hear the views of our guests, whether they be good or bad, because it is a good way to ensure we keep our standards of service high. However, in this case I am puzzled at the difference between what you say in your review, and... More

We choose the Regency Central Hotel, based on the positive reviews we found online, and our experience there certainly lived up to expectations. We booked into a Double Deluxe room situated at the front overlooking the gardens and WOW what a great room, beautifully decorated, very spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff couldn't do enough for us, very friendly and... More

I have never had any better service. I work in customer service and it puts out staff to shame. Me and my parter had dinner, and found out from our lovely helpful waitress jenny. That the person who cooked our wonderful dinner was a chef called Chris. That had to be the best food I had! Brilliant quality of this... More

I recently stayed in Scarborough for a weekend and I'm delighted that I choose this hotel. It is perfectly situated for easy access to the town centre and the sea front, the hotel itself is clean, well maintained and has the benefit of a small parking area at the front -(very useful in an area plagued by permit / pay&display...
