I stayed here for 5 nights recently and I would highly recommend. It was clean and comfortable and I had absolutely no problem with Ian the manager who was very friendly and very helpful. I also had absolutely no problem what so ever with getting hot water. You have a switch outside the en-suite bathroom that you switch on. Then... More

Stayed two nights here while visiting pals for a birthday meal; my usual B&B was full so opted for the Albemarle. After reading some of the reviews on here, I've come to the conclusion that there must be TWO Albemarle hotels - the one that the likes of duckydarren and Chebs86 stayed in and the one I got. Upon arrival... More

Just had an amazing weekend in Scarborough. Lovely weather, great company and what topped it off was the wonderful B&B. As soon as i walked through the doir i knew the right choice had been made. Plenty friendly faces indoors and a lovely lady who shared her life stories with me. The bedroom was great, plenty room, big bed and... More

I recently stayed here with some fellow like minded gentlemen looking for a quiet weekend away. Quiet was what's we wanted and quiet was what we got. Set back from the hustle and bustle if Scarborough's main streets but still only a 5 min walk from all sorts of entertainment including gala bingo, snowys wine bar and a great Thai... More

The Albemarle is a quintessential English seaside B&B in the centre of scarbourough. It is a great, friendly place where you are made to feel at home. Very reasonably priced rooms, including family rooms with Tv's, comfy beds and a terrace outside with lovely wooden furniture overlooking the beautiful park. It's very popular during peak season by the sounds of... More

Recently stayed here with a group of friends for 3 nights, from start to finish we were made to feel very welcome by the array of hosts. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you require on a short trip away. The first thing I loved were the seaside noises to start each day, on booking... More

With Albemarle being the French for fertile soil I believe this gem is aptly named, as a place with great taste and features that has definitely grown out of the ground. On arrival I was met by a meaty young man waving furiously from the window, this was a sign of the warm welcome to come. As I climbed up... More

Booked though Late Rooms for a Sunday night overnight stay having just finished a coast to coast cycle ride (and tired) - had the cash only issue - wouldn't let me have the keys or show me the room until I gave him (the owner?) the cash. I'm then informed that he hasn't switched the immersion heater on in the... More
