Visited here for a meal but we won't be doing so again. The table was messy and we were served by a 10 year old, who was polite but they shouldn't be using a child to serve food. I ordered a steak to be cooked medium, however it came out as tough as old boots. The rest of the food... More

I've been here three times in the last five years and this place has unfortunately gone downhill. The shower that used to work in room 2 previously had stopped working this time. There was a smell of stale tobacco smoke in the room and the decor and furniture is getting more tired and is in need of an upgrade. Another... More

Booked a double room but on arrival was given a twin room. Poor excuse offered and blamed the booking agent. Said they had no contact details to let us know yet confirmation was sent by Expedia the previous day! To make matters worse, the pub was manky, smelly and the carpets leading to the rooms dirty and torn. The room... More

Should've known this was a stinker from the lack of pics on the website. On arrival there's no clear signage where to go so I went in via the bar. It's like the smoking ban never happened up north! The walls still appear yellow stained and it smelt strange, like an ashtray but also just smelly. Heading up to the... More

Stayed one night when working nearby. Okay, there are critical reviews on here about the rooms and I wouldn't argue with them, decor and furnishings are tired and the walls are thin. But -I've found thinner walls in a Hilton, and my en-suite room was clean and comfortable, with free wi-fi. Evening meal in the bar, fish and chips with... More

This pub has gone down so much in recent years it is unrecognisable. Last meal we had here was revolting. Staff are sullen and there is also a vile bad drain smell which you can't fail to notice as you stand by the bar. We will never return to this pub, best advice is to avoid at all costs.

Stayed at the Londesborough on a number of occasions over the past couple of years. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room-wise don't expect five star trappings, but do expect clean, comfortable rooms at a very reasonable rate. Breakfast has always been excellent. Eating in the pub of an evening has always been a good experience worth repeating. Steak... More

We stayed at York then Scarborough for the week and spent a fortune eating out, found this little pub which was very reasonably priced. Served home cooked food, excellent children's menu. We had fish & chips - the fish was freshly battered, curry, which was homemade and came with a pint for £6.50. The kids had shepherd's pie which was... More
