Stayed one night at palm court with my mother in room 22. I payed £100 for bed and breakfast and think this is stupendously overpriced for the quality of the rooms and service. Firstly the room was extremley hot and small. The only form of air-con was a small fan that made no difference. We had to complain. No other... more

Nice clean well serviced room although quite hot even with windows open. Excellent friendly staff especially the young people in the dining room, very polite and efficient. Food superb, no boring set choice potato and veg but individually tailored to each meal, a far cry from bog standard hotel fare, also very reasonably priced wine list. Great access to town... more

We were booked into the PC hotel after reading the reviews on TA. I'm so glad we did. It was excellent! Some commented on the heat in the bedrooms, This was not obvious to us. The bedroom (room 20) was very good- clean and well provisioned. The floor boards creaked, but that's part of the character of the hotel. The... more

I needed to stay in Scarborough for a couple of days for a business meeting, and the Grand was full - what a piece of good fortune! Thanks to that, I discovered this wonderful hotel. The rooms, and the general setting is satisfactory - clean and comfortable, but nothing outstanding. I understand that the hotel are planning a complete redesign... more

Staying at this hotel was like travelling back in time to the 1970's. Very old school. My room was very small and ridiculously hot with absolutely no control over the temperature. Even with the windows open it was stifling and I had to strip down to my underwear when in the room. And with the windows open I was woken... more

Needed a hotel for a couple of days while on a recent trip to the East Coast. The Palm Court looked fantastic from the outside, and as there was free parking (impossible to find in the area) i decided to check in. The hotel was extremely good, and great value. The best part of my stay was discovering the hotel... more

Stayed for a weekend. Impressive looking from outside and improving on the inside. Newly refurbished dining room. Bar and reception areas were in process of renovation, however apart from a bit of dust this did not affect the level of service being provided. Swimming pool area is also very well presented. Along with other reviewers we found the heating level... more

We stayed in the hotel in August for a three night break. The hotel is in a great position in the town centre. It looked impressive from the outside. The bar and small lounge area's looked lovely. We stayed in the Glaisdale suite. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable with crisp white linen and soft pillows. The bathroom... more
