The front steps are a nightmare if you have difficulty in walking, the other problem is ,the shower is very small with a shower curtain which as you turn in the shower tends to mould itself to your body, those apart. The room is of adequate size with a comfortable bed,it was made up with very crisp, white and ironed duvet and sheet,very... More

Stayed Friday 28th - 30th November, travelled with David Urquhart Travel, can't really fault this hotel, suited our needs but be warned its not for those with walking difficulties, as there are a few steep steps up to hotel and the lift only holds 2 people. Room had fab view towards castle, room was cleaned to perfection each day, with... More

Stayed on 17th November until 23rd November 2014 on a David Urquhart Holiday. On arrival 14stairs from street level to hotel. Allocated Room 23 on the third floor, found this extremely inconvenient as I am disabled. A further 50 stairs up to room and had to wait to use the lift which only takes 2 persons. No option as 67 steps... More

This hotel in general is quite good however room 12A is abysmal to say the least, please make sure you request a different room! The hotel manager was also very dismissive and patronising of my complaints about this room, tried to palm me off with a cheap bottle of wine - I found this deeply insulting,

Excellent staff make you really feel welcome and can't do enough for you. Food quite good served quickly to your table. Rooms quite small but clean & tidy. Free wifi. Bar & lounge nice with great views across the bay. On street parking. One of Scarborough's better hotels.
