PC gremlins are banished at last and I am able to add my review to endorse the No.1 status in Scarborough of the Wrea Head. We had a three night pre-Christmas break. Warmly welcomed at reception and helped with our luggage (not always offered in a lot of hotels). Hotel refurbishment underway but no obvious disruption inside the building. Throughout... More

We recently stayed at the hotel and I must say, it was excellent value for money. The hotel is set in countryside just to the north of Scarborough and is in the process of being refurbished, although this doesn't affect residents. we stayed for 3 nights on their bed, breakfast and evening meal deal. The breakfasts are excellent, plenty of... More

We stayed for 1 night in room 17 and took advantage of the evening meal offer. The food on the standard menu was superb and we didn't feel the need to upgrade to the indulgence menu. The breakfast was also excellent with a good variety or hot and cold options. You don't notice the refurbishment and i'm sure the hotel... More

Having to travel to the area on business, I decided to make a short break of this and travel as a couple. This appeared from tripadvisor to be one of the best hotels in the area. We booked by telephone, for some reason the email confirmation never came, but this was not an issue, we were booked in and had... More

Stayed one night on a DBB spring offer. But the inclusive menu was disappointing so ate off the other which was a hefty £5 per course per person supplement! And the mark up on the wine was astonishing particularly as we have just bought a case of the identical wine for £7.99 a bottle. Also with the image they are... More

We have just had our wedding anniversary/hubby's birthday weekend here, our 3rd visit in 6 months! It's just far enough away from home to be 'away' but near enough not to worry about the travel. It's become our favourite place to relax and eat wonderful food. We've stayed in different rooms every time; this time it was 12, a lovely... More

First stay here for many years. Easy to see how wonderful this hotel will be once renovations are complete. Our experience in a newly renovated room was great. Very comfortable and warm contrasting with the cold and mist outside. Lovely bathroom with bath, shower and top quality products were much appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable and contributed to a... More

We booked a short break over a weekend staying in 2 hotels in Scarborough. I found this one as the hotel we usually stay in was fully booked as it was hosting a wedding. Well, I could not believe how stunning our room was. Beautiful views. Recently decorated and immaculately clean. Very comfortable super king bed. Rooms very warm. If... More
