Booked 2 nights stay as a birthday treat for my husband The sweeping driveway leads to a very impressive building and thanks to the new owners this continues inside, the newly refurbished rooms are traditional with all the modern twist needed to offer a warm and comfortable stay making you never wanting to leave. We was booked in by a... More

A super time again at Wrea Head Hall; everything about our visit was excellent as previously. We enjoyed all our meals; to be able to have Eggs Benedict for breakfast was a real treat, and all other choices on the menu, both breakfast and dinner were superb. To be able to park easily, and be made very welcome by all the staff... This was my second visit here. It is such a lovely hotel, much careful thought being given to the refurbishment. A great place for meeting friends. Very relaxing, good food, beautiful room, value for money. We spent ages in the afternoon sitting in front of the fire just chatting! I have 2 more visits planned already and can't wait!

The new owners are doing their best to raise this lovely hotel to one of the best in the area and are doing an excellent job of it. Very welcoming and helpful staff in all areas, and the restaurant food both for Dinner and Breakfast is excellent. Comfortable rooms of which some are in need of updating but it has... More

This hotel has become our favourite break near home. We combined a night's Dinner Bed and Breakfast with a matinee at Stephen Joseph and some retail therapy. Just what we needed. This time we stayed in room 9 on the ground floor which has luxurious bathroom and quiet comfortable bedroom. Loved it. Dinner was, as usual, lovely, as was breakfast.

Wrea Head is set in beautiful countryside but close enough to Scarborough & Whitby if a seaside break is preferred. The hotel gives you that living in a country house feel, you get a warm welcome, nothing is too much trouble The food and hospitality is superb. We have been visiting for the last six years & each time we are impressed... Based on the reviews we chose this hotel for a three day break. What a good decision this turned out to be. The location of the hotel, in its own extensive grounds and yet close to Scarborough, was great. The building is period, but with modern standards of comfort and we enjoyed one of the best rooms of any hotel... More

Great location. Beautiful country house. Lovely staff and excellent service. We will recommend to all our friends and family. The food was excellent. The evening menu changed daily. It was nice to see the deliveries of local food and drink delivering their produce. Clearly a hotel which grasps its surroundings both historically and for its future.
