Recently stayed here again while on busines and was not dissapionted. The hotel is under new management since I last stayed and if anything it's better than before. Some of the hotel has been refreshed but in keeping with it's traditional style. The service is excellent as is the food. Well done!

We have visited the Mount on numerous occasions and have always been highly satisfied with the service and especially the food with a three cause luncheon with tea or coffee served in the lounge or at your table costing around £16 pounds a head very good value for silver service. The dining room is airy and some tables with excellent... More

We stayed at the Mount Hotel when our climbing club had their annual dinner there on the weekend of 22nd November. The hotel was all we expected from a family run establishment. It was comfortable, warm and the staff, particularly the dining room serving staff, were friendly, courteous and helpful. The food, especially the breakfast, was excellent and promptly and... More

And when I say old fashioned I mean... -Welcoming -Friendly with great customer service -Quality food (I judge a cooked breakfast by the quality of the sausages .... which were delicious) -Value for money -Great sea views (for a small additional cost) Okay. So it is not a modern boutique hotel with ultra modern decor and up to the minute... More

We stayed here recently for our annual climbing club bash and were absolutely delighted with The Mount - a wonderful old hotel in the centre of Scarborough. The family really do run this hotel, they worked all the hours to ensure that our stay was exactly as we wanted it to be. We were escorted to our room, a lovely... More

I organised the annual dinner for our climbing club which was held last weekend at The Mount Hotel. I chose The Mount not only on price (which was really good for dinner, bed and breakfast) but also because our booking was clearly very important to them. They were incredibly proactive, helpful and flexible. I use a lot of expensive, faceless,... More

I was here for an annual dinner with a climbing club (around 70 people). On arrival we were checked in and then taken to our rooms via the smallest most intimate/awkward lift known to mankind. As a climbing club I'm sure i could have managed one flight of stairs...it would certainly have been preferable. In fact, I'm not a child,... More

A wonderful return to a charming hotel. Amazing sea view, lovely staff, one of the best breakfasts anywhere and served to your table, a world away from the lacklustre character of chain hotels. Great weekend.

Booked on the off chance of staying one night heading home, booked by phone, no car space was available outside, but a multi storey behind hotel. Room was the best we had stayed in executive room which had a sea view, sofa suite in a separate room big tv, big bathroom. Staff were very helpful, while my husband moved car... More
