I stayed at Catania with my 8 yr old daughter, we were on the top floor in what I can only describe as a pokey attic room. The fixtures and fittings were dusty. The pillow cases had holes in them.It was cold at night with only having sheets and one blanket and a throw over. The shower took ages to work, the towel rail... I booked the hotel based on reviews and it didn't disappoint. There was a car park behind the hotel which was a tight squeeze, but there is alternative provision if you have a large people carrier. The hotel was clean and was exactly as described. The room was on the top floor and had a great sea view. The room... More

Had a lovely 3 day stay at the Hotel Catania last week. The hotel is clean, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and the private car park is very convenient when the town is busy and parking is difficult. I hope to stay there again before too long.

I took my 2 children to the Catania for a 2 night stay in a family room. The location was great. We could walk to the beach and the park. There was a bus stop quite close by and we were able to travel from North Bay to South Bay very easily. I parked in the hotel car park on... More

We booked the Catania because the price was right, we were only having an overnight stay so we weren't looking for anything special. Our greeting was pleasant and our room was clean and tidy, it had all we needed,tv, tea, coffee, comfy bed and a nice en suite. Our breakfasts were also very good, one full English and one vegetarian... More

Whilst I welcome all reviews, good and bad, I appreciate it when you get the facts correct. Apologies for the mouldy milk carton, I will mention it to the supplies on my next visit. The first mention that your heating was not working was when you returned at 9.30 in the evening, the rest of the building was warm and... More

We stayed at this hotel August bank holiday weekend for 2 nights. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was very good too. The hotel is just a short walk to the south side but a bus runs regularly if you don't fancy the walk. It is close to Peasholm park. There is car parking on site (it's a... More

We booked the hotel very last minute through tripadvisor and had a great stay the hotel is in a great location near peasholme park and the castle. The rooms were very nice and quite airy too, not like most hotels where you lose a pint of sweat just sitting on your bed! Breakfast was great too and really there is... More
