This place is just gorgeous! Kevern, the owner and his wife were just wonderful. They couldn't do enough for us. Breaksfast was amazing. The room was really light and airy. Bathroom was wonderful with a massive bath in the centre of the bathroom! Close to a few pubs, and Scarborough itself. Lovely little seaside place. Would recommend this little B&B... More

This is an absolute gem of a B&B. I stayed here with my 7 year old in the kingsize room(Rm 3). Oodles of space, luxurious bed and bedding and enormous bathroom. Then there are all the other wonderful personal touches. The fab collection of books, organic toiletries, filtered water, locally made pottery, even bathrobes! This is 5 star luxury at its' finest. My son loved... More

My Husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Beautiful property, the location is great, the atmosphere is great, the food is great and the owners cannot do enough for you. We will be back. Room 3 is a delight, a romantic delight.

This is easily the best place I have stayed in anywhere. We were in Room 2 and the room standard is A1. THE ROOM - Comfort of bed > Perfect - Room decor > Lovely (perfect) - Cleanliness > Perfect - Room amenities > Perfect BREAKFAST - Great Choice and like everything else, done with thought, care and professionalism. Wow. Loved this place. Had to stay here after reading the quirky web page & it had a lot to live up to but it was better than we thought. Near the south cliff lift & close to the famous gardens, it's location was fantastic. The room was comfortable, the shower was brilliant. Good, powerful shower & the beds were... More

We have stayed at The Waves twice now and both times have been exceptional. Excellent beds and immaculate bathrooms are both expected and found, but it's the extra twists, such as the recommended-reading basket in each room; the 'groovy 70s' lounge with its jukebox and comfy sofas; and the home-made biscuits for a guilty post-pub nibble: they're the things that... This is an amazing B and B. Its clean, modern and beautifully looked after. The food is lovely and the hosts couldn't be more welcoming. The added bonuses of good wifi and parking permits made it a great, stand out choice for us and we won't hesitate in returning

We recently stayed here in the family room. Lovely good sized room with king size bed and a proper single ( no put me up beds here ! ). Nice ensuite . Very clean and welcoming . The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our 8 year old loved the lounge as it had games in for him to play... More

Lovely friendly hotel with an extensive menu including lots for veggies and vegans. Very tasteful and comfortable room, immaculately clean with extra touches like locally sourced food, furniture and toiletries. I can highly recommend this hotel which is less than 15 minutes walk from the train station, very close to the seafront and has an amazingly stylish lounge with books,... More

Booked The Waves for family visiting us in Scarborough recently and they had a wonderful stay, they couldn't have been happier with the location, hosts and especially the breakfast. This is a real hidden jem as most of the customers keep going back so it must be good, we will always recommend it for friends and family.
