Only managed the one night this time-in fact if we couldn't have got in at the Waves we probably wouldn't have made the detour to Scarborough. Haven't got anything but the highest of praise for this B&B-in fact it verges on the boutique style because of it's amenities and comfort. The whole package is excellent. Kevern is a great host... We agree with previous reviewers about how good the breakfast was, the home baked cookie in the lounge. The beds were comfy, particularly we were travelling as family of three, had a king and single bed in the room. Both beds were beautiful. I like to emphasise on the little things makes this b&b special. 1) Kevin has bags of... More

Arrived a tad early as we were excited for our break and welcomed without a problem, given a parking permit and shown to our room. Quite a few flights of stairs but not a problem. The room, 6, lovely, great big attractive bed, just a little surprised at the lack of space in the room. It was quite abit smaller... More

The Waves is a fantastic B & B. Our room was lovely, very clean and had some lovely touches. We liked the crockery so much, we went and brought our own from the local craft gallery. The breakfast was very tasty: we even had our request for white bread granted. The home-made cookies in the lounge were delicious, so much... More

You will be spoilt for choice at breakfast, fresh homemade bread with oodles of gorgeous homemade jams, the dried fruit compote poached in orange and cinnamon is to die for. I had the veggie kedgeree on day 1 and the frittata on day 2, simply perfect! They have a very comfortable lounge with a duke box and coffee/tea tray, a... More

The Waves is what one dreams about in a bed and breakfast while traveling. Friendly, charming, and spotlessly clean. Kevern and the staff are helpful and the breakfast options are endless and run from "full English" to vegan--with most ingredients sourced locally and many organic. The mattress is so comfortable that it makes you realize that you want to go... More

First time stayed with kevern and Ruth was with female friend. This time took hubby!!! BUT great news, although adverse to guest houses as too intimate (ie he has to speak to people) he enjoyed this one. Our room was lovely, clean comfortable, fresh water daily. Tea tray with quality products . The location is perfect. At the nice end... More

I rolled up at "The Waves" soaked to the skin, the only day it rained was that day. Kevern (the owner) greeted me and showed me to my room, (he also took my wet clothes away to dry). My room was large for a single and well equipped with flat screen tv, wi-fi, tea/coffee making facilities and the room was... More

This is a lovely seaside B & B. On a quiet road just a short walk to the clifftop overlooking Scarborough. The king size room was very clean & had a great assortment of teas & coffees. The best thing though was the breakfast, you order the main course the night before but then help yourselves to a wide range... More
